It is a two bedroom apartment set just above Cannes itself and when I first came in I found myself heading straight for the terrace. The view is just kind of unbelievable. You get the sweep of the Mediterranean and then there are mountains in the distance and a whole lot of sky. It felt like the sort of place where you could sit every morning with your coffee and not really need anything else for a while. Birds fly past below you and sometimes you hear the distant sound of life down in the city... but mostly it is just green and blue and light. This home is on the first floor which already feels more private with all the trees outside and the little bit of hill between you and the rest of the world.
