The Meadows is one of the most popular townhouse communities in Dubai, which is aimed at families. With landscaped gardening, numerous water bodies and plenty of leisure options, the neighborhood already houses a sizeable number of families; with many more forecasted to become part of this growing community.

As with other communities in Emirates Hills, The Meadows features greenery, mini lakes, flanking trees, bushes and shrubs, and exotic species of flowers in abundance. As far as apartments are concerned, there are more than 20 different architectural designs; each having its own distinctive characteristics. Another impressive feature about the community is that they promote outdoor healthy living – and encourages people to take part in physical activities. The Meadows enjoys a strategic location, which is away from the busy districts of the city – yet provides roads and pathways that lead to the heart of the metropolis in less than 10 minutes. One can be on the Sheikh Zayed Road in less than 10 minutes, while the Dubai International Airport is at a distance of roughly 40 minutes.

The villas come in a 3–7-bedroom configuration, with different architectural designs and aesthetics. Large open spaces are a recurrent theme in all the villas – letting residents sub-consciously appreciate spatial aesthetics. The Al Wahab Mosque is located in Meadows 5, while the Al Samad Mosque is adjacent to the Town Center. For Christians, the closest church is the Metropolitan Mark Chords and the International Nepalese Community Church; both of which are in Jebel Ali Village and can be reached in under 15 minutes. Believers in Hinduism will have to travel approximately for 30 minutes to reach Bur Dubai where numerous temples are located. 

Educational Institutions

For children below the age of 5, the closest nursery; Kids Kingdom Nursery is at a drive of 15 minutes in Production City. Other nursery options include the Jebel Ali Village Nursery in The Lakes. For schools, the Emirates International School enrolls students from grade 1 to the final grade 13. It follows the IB program. Another prominent school in the nearby community of Emirates Hills is Dubai British School, which offers British curriculum to students, and is ranked as one of the top schools in Dubai.

For university going students, the Dubai Knowledge Park is at a dive of about 20 minutes and has a host of prestigious universities; such as the University of Bradford Dubai, Middlesex University; to name a few.

Healthcare Facilities

For residents of Meadows, all medical facilities are in close proximity. Mediclinic Meadows is right in the heart of the Meadows residential area, just next to Meadows Village shopping center. The hospital is fully equipped to handle emergencies, and has a team of specialists from different branches of medicine. Other options include Al Garhoud Private Hospital Clinic in Jumeirah Islands and Al Zahra Hospital in Al Barsha, which is at a 10 minutes’ drive.

5. Lifestyle

Despite the lack of traditional malls and shopping centers, the district has a unique social hub, called the Meadows Souk, which offers an array of shopping and leisure options to the residents, such as, a pet shop, jewelry outlets, kids’ entertainment areas, and open cafés that overlook the gorgeous landscapes of the community. Other than that, a meticulous collection of dining spots, beauty salons and fitness centers ensure residents don’t have to go outside the neighborhood for recreation and quality time.

Another important landmark is the Montgomerie Golf Course. Built in conjunction with Ryder Cup star Colin Montgomerie, the venue is one of the leading in the Middle East - with lakes, trees, shrubs and utility vehicles, the 7,400-yard championship golf course offers priority membership to residents of Meadows. For fans of outdoor sports, a plethora of basketball courts, football grounds, tennis courts and pools are spread all across the community.

Meadows is a community that was built for families in mind. While it pales in comparison to some of the more ultra-luxurious neighborhoods in the city, the Meadows has its own charm, which is found in the quiet surroundings, scenic landscapes and affordable residential units.
