Some homes really just slow you down when you step in. This five bedroom villa on the hillside of Sant Esteve de Sesrovires in Barcelona is that kind of place. I remember the first time I came in through the front door, I just wanted to pause and look out at all that green. There is something about sitting up above the golf course here, and honestly you might notice yourself forgetting the city is so close because it just feels peaceful. The villa itself is spread across three levels, and it feels like the light follows you wherever you go. The finishes are a nice mix of mahogany and oak wood with that cool brick effect you only seem to find in modern homes around here. The first floor, which you find lower down the slope, has this open plan living and dining space that feels big without being showy. You get floor to ceiling windows and if you stand by them for a little bit in the afternoon, the sun really pours in. That view across the fairways and mountains is honestly hard to put into words. You might find yourself wanting to slide the doors open, just to get out on the porch and have breakfast or a coffee. The wraparound porch is the kind of spot where you can picture a long afternoon with friends or even just a quiet evening by yourself. And if you like to entertain, there is a massive garden here where I could honestly see Sunday brunches stretching until sunset and in summer a barbecue just feels right. The backyard pool sits just at the edge of the garden with those mountain views behind it. Sometimes in the evenings you hear the quiet from the course and it feels like you have your own little getaway even though you are not far from everything you need. If you are someone who likes a bit of fresh air with your morning swim or evening dip this pool just adds that extra feeling of escape. Taking either the elevator or the outside steps up to the mid floor brings you to three bedrooms that are done in calming neutral shades. The rooms feel comfortable without trying too hard. There is a full bathroom along this level and what you will probably love most is the master suite. That space has a dressing area, its own ensuite, and another terrace. Standing out there, you cannot help noticing just how green the golf course is, and sometimes you catch the sky changing color over the hills in the evening. You get that same quiet here and it does not matter if you are waking up early or heading to bed late. On the very top floor is where I found myself wanting to stay and read a book for a while. This main floor is for living and dining, with another kitchen that is set up if you really want to cook, not just heat something up. Sometimes properties have rooms that feel like afterthoughts but here there is an extra bedroom or you could use it for office space if working from home is your thing. You step out from the living area to yet another terrace with a view that, honestly, is probably one of the best in Barcelona. The golf course stretches out below, and you have Masia Bach in the distance. Sometimes you can even hear golfers in the distance which adds just a little life to the setting. The villa is ready for modern living with a full home automation system and a top notch security system that just works without any fuss. You get a two car garage, a good size laundry room and temperature control so you can really settle in all year round. It is unfurnished for now but if you want it move in ready, they have furnishing options. The thing is, living here is less about showing off and more about just enjoying the simple things. The air feels fresher, and there is space for everyone whether you like big get togethers or quiet mornings with coffee. The local community is friendly and it never feels crowded even in the busier months. The only way to really get a feel for how relaxed life can be here is to come and take a walk around.
