Fahid Beach Residencesby Aldar Properties at Fahid Island

Aldar Properties is one of the UAE's largest integrated real estate groups, with its origins and strongest presence in Abu Dhabi. The company was established in 2004 and incorporated in 2005, with its shares listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange. Alpha Dhabi Holding PJSC is identified as the group's parent company.

The business is chaired by H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, while Talal Al Dhiyebi serves as Group Chief Executive Officer. Its structure extends considerably beyond residential sales. Aldar Development covers property development, sales, project management and international operations, while Aldar Investment owns and manages income producing assets across residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, education and logistics.

Abu Dhabi remains central to the company. Aldar has shaped major parts of Yas Island, Al Raha Beach and other established districts, delivering thousands of homes alongside schools, retail, hotels, offices and leisure infrastructure. Completed communities such as Yas Acres, Noya and Al Ghadeer demonstrate its experience with large family neighbourhoods, while Mamsha Al Saadiyat and Saadiyat Grove reflect its move further into cultural and luxury residential real estate.

Its geographic reach has expanded significantly. In Dubai, Aldar entered a strategic joint venture with Dubai Holding to create three major communities, beginning with Haven and Athlon before launching The Wilds. The partnership covers more than 3.5 million square metres of land and represents a long term move into Dubai rather than a single project entry.

Ras Al Khaimah has become another UAE market through developments including Nikki Beach Residences at Al Marjan Island. Internationally, Aldar Development also oversees SODIC in Egypt and London Square in the United Kingdom, giving the wider group a presence extending beyond the Emirates.

Aldar Properties Projects in the UAE

Abu Dhabi continues to produce Aldar's most substantial new master plans. Fahid Island, unveiled in 2025 between Yas Island and Saadiyat Island, is planned as a major coastal wellness destination with more than AED 40 billion in development value. Its first releases included Fahid Beach Residences, The Beach House Fahid and Fahid Beach Terraces.

Fahid Beach Residences introduced apartments, duplexes and penthouses within this new waterfront setting. The wider island demonstrates how Aldar is increasingly combining residential property with education, hospitality, landscaping and wellness infrastructure rather than treating individual buildings in isolation.

Yas Island is also entering another phase of expansion. Yas Point was announced in July 2026 as a new waterfront destination on the northern shore, with The Canopies becoming its first residential launch. The six building community introduces 592 apartments around landscaped open spaces and a waterfront promenade.

Aldar's luxury strategy increasingly includes international hospitality brands. Mandarin Oriental Residences at Saadiyat Island is developed by Aldar, with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group managing the residences. Architecture is by BIG, while interiors are by Lillian Wu. The project should therefore be described as an Aldar development carrying Mandarin Oriental residential services and branding.

Waldorf Astoria Residences Yas follows a similar structure. Aldar is the developer, while Hilton brings the Waldorf Astoria brand to the residences overlooking Yas Links Golf Course. The project sold through its initial release on launch day, underlining the growing role of branded residences within Aldar's premium strategy.

Dubai remains another important growth market. Athlon introduced an active lifestyle focused villa community, followed by Rise by Athlon, which adds apartments to the wider master plan.

The Wilds takes a more nature led approach in Dubailand. Following the original villa release, The Wilds Residences launched in 2026 with apartments and duplexes, broadening the community beyond larger family homes.

Aldar Properties therefore operates across a considerably broader spectrum than most UAE residential developers. Its current activity ranges from established family communities and new Abu Dhabi master plans to Dubai expansion, Ras Al Khaimah waterfront property and internationally branded residences, supported by a substantial completed track record and a growing regional platform.
