Community Spotlight: Dubai Marina

1 February 2023 Written by qadeer

Dubai Marina ranks as one of most affluent and highly sought after neighborhoods in Dubai. The district is renowned for its quaint streets, sunny beaches, a plethora of dining options, vibrant nightlife and not to mention the spectacular waterfront residences. The neighborhood, touted as the jewel in the crown of Dubai, draws potential buyers from all across the globe. In fact, Marina regularly racks up the most searches on Google in Dubai real estate, and it is not even fully developed yet.

Here is why Marina is such a hit:

The Neighborhood

Dubai Marina Guide

Spread over 5 kilometers, Marina is a cornerstone of development; and with so much to explore, one can easily be spoilt for choices. Under the development of Emaar, the posh destination is now home to more than 55,000 people – with a total of 120,000 people slated to occupy the residential units once the entire development is complete.

The community provides easy access to nearby supermarkets and transportation. Multiple branches of Zoom marts are spread cross the buildings, while supermarkets such as Waitrose are found inside the Marina Mall. All the buildings have parking spaces for residents and employees; while metro trains, buses, and trams regularly transport passengers to Marina on regular intervals.

Exploring Marina – Marina Walk

Marina Walk

The Dubai Marina is a modern marvel in construction - with tall, spectacular buildings set against the backdrop of shimmering emerald-turquoise water. The residential units are adorned with sophisticated design, world-class amenities, and picturesque views. The neighborhood is also popular for offering sky-high dining - tourists and residents enjoy scrumptious delicacies in restaurants offering panoramic views of the neighborhood below.

Exploring the Marina Walk is a one of a kind experience – a lively atmosphere with kiosks and pop-up sotres line the promenade; while a luxury yacht ride is a must for sightseeing. There are several yacht charter companies operating in the area, offering everything from simple boat tours to grand affairs with private pools and a selection of snakcs served on board. Venturing further, and just before the beach, you come across quaint passages and brick paved roads; reminiscent of neo-classical and Persian architecture. These passages lead to JBR and the beach, which is filled with upscale restaurants, designer brands, and so much more.

JBR and The Beach – Redefining Luxury

Jumeirah Beach Residence

Jumeirah beach Residence, or JBR as it is commonly known, is one of the highlights of the Marina district. It is an exquisite beachfront community studded with luxury retailers, and fine dining options. With a host of attractions, it is hard to single one out, since there is always something happening at the beach opposite to JBR. The beach is a popular spot to spend sun-soaked afternoons or embark on mini voyages to the sea with parasailing, banana boat rides, and wake-boarding. Right next to the beach is a 600-meter track for fitness enthusiasts with outdoor exercise gear. People from all over the UAE come to the beach to experience the luxuries on offer.

Besides the mouth-watering food and striking views, JBR is also home to a plethora of unique attractions; such as the 3D Blacklight Minigolf Club. The venue lets people enjoy golf under neon black lighting and 3D effects to immerse you into the game like never before. Each room has a unique vibe to it – including a cosmic setting, a coral reef mirroring ocean theme, and orange-lit desert scenes. Even if you are not into golf, the experience in itself is worth spending money on.

For thrill-seekers, the Countdown Challenge in JBR ticks all boxes. It is essentially a dungeon-inspired escape facility with 5 rooms. Each room has its own challenges and difficulty levels, with players tested against claustrophobia, puzzle solving abilities, and fear. P.S: One of the rooms even includes collaborating with a live character to get out.

Last but not least, JBR has some of the best dining options in Dubai. You can feast on anything from Continental and Italian to Vegetarian and Fusion; there is a palette for everyone. Prominent eateries include BICE Ristorante, Lock, Stock & Barrel, STK JBR and Bliss Drive.

Bluewaters Island

Bluewaters Island

Conjoined with JBR, Bluewaters Island was unveiled to the public in 2018, and has been a massive success ever since. The pinnacle of the island is the tallest observation wheel in the world - Ain Dubai, or Dubai Eye, which will be operational in October 2021. The observation wheel has comfortably dethroned its predecessor by 50 meters. Ain Dubai can carry up to 1900 people via 48 passenger capsules; and promises to offer breathtaking views of the surrounding areas from the top.

If you are looking for a royal getaway in Dubai, then Caesars Palace Bluewaters is the answer. To give you an idea of its exclusivity, the only other Caesars Palace property is located in Las Vegas. Featuring premium hospitality and unmatched interior décor, the hotel embodies luxury like no other. The attention to detail is astonishing, with each element bearing a strong royal spirit. The hotel is also home to premium dining options such as Hell's Kitchen restaurant by Gordon Ramsay.

Lastly, one of the most serene spots to laze away the day is Cove Beach. Featuring a classy lounge, a sublime restaurant and 3 giant pools, the Cove is the perfect place to just lay back and get lost in the tranquility that surrounds. You also have the option book a private cabana that overlooks the mesmerizing turquoise waters.

All in all, Dubai Marina is certainly the most exciting and luxurious neighborhood in Dubai; helping elevate Dubai’s status as the hub of high-class living. If you would like to know more about the residential options, feel free to get in touch with our private client advisory team today.
