There is something about Principal Tower that makes you slow down a little as soon as you step in. Maybe it is the way the light plays off the glass outside or how the lobby feels more like someone's really nice living room than what you expect in a busy part of London. I still remember standing by the window in this one bedroom apartment on a sunny afternoon and just watching the city for a bit. Shoreditch is spread out below and you get this wide view which is honestly quite relaxing. You just catch bits of the Thames and sometimes you even spot people walking their dogs down below if you look out at the right time.
The apartment itself is set on a higher floor so there is a bit more quiet up there. Not totally silent of course it's London after all but somehow it just feels peaceful. There is a corner terrace off the living space and the view from there changes throughout the day. You could have breakfast out there or sometimes just open the doors and let in a little fresh air while you work. I can picture someone reading or just sitting with a coffee before heading down to the lobby to start the day.
Inside the layout feels open but not cold. The kitchen is one of those you can actually cook in not just a fancy showpiece. The breakfast counter fits a couple of chairs and it feels easy to have a friend over or set things out for a quiet meal. The living area is not huge but it just works and the natural light is almost always good which is nice during London's cloudier days. The bedroom also connects out to the terrace which surprised me the first time I saw it. You wake up and those city views are right there and you do not even need to go into the living room to see them. There is built in storage in the bedroom so your clothes have somewhere to go and it does not have that cluttered feeling you sometimes get in smaller city homes.
And the building itself is one people in the area talk about. Friends who live in other places sometimes pop over just to see the amenities. The concierge at the entrance is always there and always remembers a face which you do not get everywhere. The lap pool and gym are the type of places you end up using because they are just an elevator ride away. There is also a spa if you feel like treating yourself or a cinema which is honestly handy on a rainy London night when you do not feel like going out. The lounge is a nice spot for small gatherings or to just sit and read for a while. If you cycle there is space to store your bike which is not always easy to find in London and if you have a car you can get a spot below. Even the piazza at the entrance has this landscaped feel where you see residents stopping to chat before heading off for the day.
The best thing is the location in Shoreditch really puts you close to everything but it does not feel overwhelming. You are a short walk from some of the city's best coffee spots and honestly you will notice how people here actually know their neighbors. Kids bike in the evening and you always hear someone laughing on the pavement. The Thames is nearby in case you want a run or just a walk by the water. Principal Tower just has this way of making city life feel easier and the community vibe is real not something you have to work for.
I can tell you all the features but you really do have to feel it for yourself. The only way to know if it is right is to come and see it. If you feel like walking through or just want to talk about it you can reach out anytime. At LuxuryProperty.com we really just want your move to feel comfortable and honest.
