This summer, luxury-seeking globetrotters bound for Italy can indulge in opulence at the Bulgari Hotel Roma, slated to open its doors on June 9. Nestled in the historic heart of Rome, this high-end hotel affords stunning vistas of the renowned Mausoleum of Emperor Augustus, a prominent monument in the annals of Roman history.

As the first-ever Bulgari establishment in the Eternal City—also the Italian fashion titan's birthplace—the Bulgari Hotel Roma is the brand's second Italian offering after its Milan property. This grand opening comes on the heels of Bulgari Tokyo's launch last week, and the UAE branch's unveiling in Dubai in 2017.

Guests of this prestigious Roman haven will find themselves in the midst of the Campo Marzio neighborhood, in close proximity to some of Rome's most iconic landmarks, such as the Spanish Steps and the River Tiber. Devotees of the esteemed design brand need only take a few strides to arrive at the Bulgari flagship store on the chic Via Condotti.

Jean-Christophe Babin, Bulgari's Chief Executive, hailed the inauguration of the Bulgari Hotel Roma as a significant milestone, noting that it will "finally be possible to welcome our guests in the Maison's hometown, the city that has been a source of inspiration for all our magnificent jewelry creations since the brand foundation."

Occupying a refurbished 1930s rationalist edifice conceptualized by famed Italian architect Vittorio Ballio Morpugo, the hotel features 114 elegantly designed rooms and suites. Guests can expect exquisite Italian craftsmanship, including Murano glass lamps, handmade mosaic rosettes, and bespoke tapestry art.

The hotel boasts six diverse dining establishments and bars, among them Il Ristorante — Niko Romito, a culinary venture helmed by the mastermind responsible for Dubai's two Michelin-starred Il Ristorante at Bulgari Resort Dubai. On the rooftop, guests can unwind at La Terazza lounge, a space reminiscent of traditional Roman terraces and inspired by ancient villa gardens like Villa Adriana. From this vantage point, patrons can enjoy breathtaking 360-degree panoramas of Rome.

In its 1,500-square-meter Bulgari Spa, visitors can relish the ambiance of ancient Roman bathhouses, complete with stained glass windows, marble columns, and Caracalla Baths-inspired mosaics. The spa houses nine treatment rooms, a 25-meter pool, a vitality pool, and an adjacent cutting-edge fitness suite. History enthusiasts can explore the hotel's Reading Room, which will contain a rich collection of treasured books on Roman art, design, history, and architecture. This unique space will also be open to the public.

Marking Bulgari's ninth hotel, the Roma property precedes upcoming launches in the Maldives and Miami Beach in 2025 and the 2026 debut of Bulgari Los Angeles.
