Some places just have their own rhythm and as soon as you step inside this four bedroom villa in Cluster 11 at Jumeirah Islands, you notice it right away. There was this calm breeze coming through when I last visited and honestly I just wanted to stand there looking out at the lake for a while. The light in here is something you do not see every day. Morning, noon or evening, it always feels bright but never too sharp. That is probably thanks to those big windows and high ceilings. You can actually feel the space all around you, and it never gets stuffy which makes a big difference especially on long summer days in Dubai.

The lounge and dining area blend into each other, you do not even really think about where one ends and the other starts. I saw myself kicking off my shoes by the sofa or maybe sitting with a coffee and watching the water outside. The kitchen does not feel just for show here either. It is been done up with real care, new fittings and a bit of that designer touch without being hard to clean. You could really cook here and still chat with anyone sitting nearby. Even if you are not into cooking every night, it is just one of those kitchens where you would not mind spending a bit of time after work.

There are four bedrooms here plus the maid's room is a real bonus if you need the help or even just a bit more storage. Each bedroom has these built in wardrobes so you do not have to fuss with dressers or finding more space for your things. The main bedrooms all have their own ensuite bathrooms. You can really feel the privacy especially if you are sharing with family or if friends are visiting. Something about having that personal space matters a lot more than you think.

One thing you might enjoy most is the backyard. There is this private swimming pool and the first thing you see is the wide open lake view. I imagine early mornings with a coffee by the pool or maybe late evenings when the water goes completely calm. Sometimes you can hear birds and if you look close you might spot them making little circles over the lake. The garden is roomy enough for kids to run around or even to set up a comfy outdoor dinner spot. People in this community really pay attention to their gardens. There's a feeling that your outside space can be just as relaxing as the interior.

Jumeirah Islands is one of those family focused places. When you walk or drive around, you see joggers on the running tracks and sometimes a group of kids biking slowly as the sun goes down. The Clubhouse is pretty popular. People come by for brunches, coffee and there is always something going on for families. The community centre has those little essentials you always forget you need. And the best thing is, you are close to Jumeirah Park and just a few minutes away from Dubai Marina or Jumeirah Lake Towers. If schools are a priority, some of the best options in Dubai are really close by, which just takes the pressure off those busy school mornings.

The villa itself is spacious with a built up area of eleven thousand ten square feet which is a serious amount of room whether you have a growing family or just love the idea of not bumping into furniture all the time. Full lake views are not easy to find in Jumeirah Islands anymore, especially in Cluster 11 where homes get snapped up because of the peace and quiet and that real sense of neighbours looking out for each other.

You get a sense here that you will actually want to put your phone down and just be at home. It feels easy. Comfortable. Somewhere you can grow into instead of growing out of.
