Some places just feel like a pause button the second you step inside. That is how it is with this fully furnished one bedroom apartment at Vera Residences in Business Bay. I know people hear Business Bay and imagine city traffic and tall towers and busy mornings but honestly this spot gives you a different side of Dubai. It is right in the middle of everything so the Burj Khalifa is part of your daily view yet it just feels open and a little calmer than you might expect. The first thing you notice is how all this natural light comes in mainly because this is a corner apartment so you are not squished between other homes. I actually stood by the window for a while and watched the skyline wake up and you see the water too. Sometimes birds fly right by your window which is pretty nice.
When you first walk in you can tell everything is set up so it is easy to make your own routines here. The living area is furnished with pieces that are comfortable not just stylish and there is a spot to sit with your coffee and watch all that glass and water outside. The private terrace is bigger than it looks in photos and you will probably find yourself stepping out at night just to breathe and look at the lights of Downtown Dubai. You really feel like you are part of the city without the noise just outside your walls. In the evenings you will see people jogging or just chilling by the Dubai Canal promenade which is across the street. The community vibe is strong here and I have seen families walk their dogs or neighbors stopping to chat. The coffee shop downstairs is always busy but never too packed.
The bedroom is one of those places that feels like it is blocking out the rest of Dubai on purpose. The bed is queen sized with this orthopedic mattress that actually supports your back and there are a couple different pillow types in the cupboard depending if you like something soft or firm. Black out curtains make it super easy to sleep in and you do not hear the traffic at all so you rest better. There is a dressing area in the corner with enough space to actually get ready for work or an evening out without bumping elbows. The sheets are crisp cotton which is always a plus and if you have a friend stay over the sofa in the living room pulls out to a real guest bed so it is easy to host someone without feeling cramped.
Kitchens in Dubai apartments are sometimes all show but this one is built to really cook. There is a proper gas stove and oven full fridge plus freezer and all the small bits like kettle toaster even a coffee machine for your morning fix. You get all the pans dishes and storage feels sensible so you are not stacking plates on top of each other. I checked and there is even an ironing board for when you need it. The bathroom is one of those underappreciated spaces that makes a difference. The shower is actually big enough to move around and they stocked it with thick towels and a set of quality toiletries you would expect in a hotel. There is even a hairdryer and a shaving kit tucked away.
Living at Vera Residences you have access to a gym that gets plenty of light so you will probably want to use it. There is a sauna plus steam room and the changing rooms are spotless. The pool is one of my favorite things since it faces the Dubai skyline so even when you are just floating you see the city. Security feels solid with someone at the door all the time and parking is in the basement which saves a lot of stress when you come home with groceries. You get chilled air conditioning everywhere internet is fast and reliable if you work from home and it just feels like everything is set up to make daily life simple.
The location does all the work for you. You walk to Burj Khalifa Dubai Mall and even the fountains in under fifteen minutes if you feel like exploring after dinner. The Museum of the Future is a quick drive and if you are more into the beach Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina are close by. But honestly what gets me every time is how peaceful this corner feels. You might forget the city is right behind you until you open the balcony door. If you want to have a look or just need to see if the space feels right reach out to me any time. At LuxuryProperty.com we are here to make renting your next apartment in Business Bay as easy as possible. Come by and take a look around. Sometimes you know the moment you walk in.
