RAK Properties is one of Ras Al Khaimah's longest established master developers and has played a significant role in the emirate's residential, tourism and waterfront growth. Established in 2005, the company is a Public Joint Stock Company listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange under the ticker RAKPROP.

The business was created with the support of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah and continues to maintain a close relationship with the emirate.

RAK Properties is chaired by Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Zaabi, while Sameh Muhtadi serves as Chief Executive Officer. Its strategy extends beyond individual apartment buildings into master planning, hospitality, commercial assets, public spaces and complete residential neighbourhoods.

The company's defining destination is Mina, historically known as Mina Al Arab. Work on the waterfront master plan began shortly after RAK Properties was established, and successive phases have introduced villas, apartments, resorts, beaches, marinas and landscaped areas along the Ras Al Khaimah coastline.

Early completed neighbourhoods include Granada Villas, Malibu Villas, Flamingo Villas and Bermuda Villas. Gateway Residences and later Marbella Villas broadened the housing mix, while hospitality became increasingly important through InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Resort and Spa and Anantara Mina Ras Al Khaimah Resort.

RAK Properties has also delivered real estate outside its home emirate, including residential schemes in Abu Dhabi. Its current strategy, however, is firmly concentrated on Ras Al Khaimah, where it controls a substantial land bank and is expanding from Mina into a second major master planned destination.

The company has changed considerably as Ras Al Khaimah itself has matured. Its recent pipeline places greater emphasis on premium waterfront apartments, resort influenced homes and partnerships with international hospitality and design brands.

RAK Properties Projects in Ras Al Khaimah

Mina remains central to the company's current activity. The waterfront destination includes the established Hayat Island and Raha Island districts alongside newer areas such as Downtown Mina. Recent releases including Cape Hayat, Quattro Del Mar, Mirasol, Solera, Skai and Nura demonstrate the increasing variety within the master plan without changing its strong connection to the coastline.

Nura Residences at Mina is among the newer launches within Downtown Mina. The two building scheme combines apartments and penthouses close to the developing boulevard, continuing the shift towards a more walkable urban centre within the wider waterfront community.

Hospitality partnerships have become another important part of RAK Properties' strategy. Anantara Residences at Mina is developed by RAK Properties with Anantara providing the hospitality brand and service concept. The collection includes waterfront apartments and villas on Hayat Island and is under construction for completion in 2028.

Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences is also planned for Raha Island. RAK Properties is the development partner, while Four Seasons brings its hotel management and branded residential expertise. Denniston has been appointed to lead the architecture and interior design.

The company's branded residence ambitions extend further through Armani Beach Residences Ras Al Khaimah. The scheme is being created by RAK Properties in collaboration with Giorgio Armani and SIE Group and includes a highly limited collection of apartments and beachfront villas.

Porto Playa represents a different form of partnership. Located on Hayat Island, the project is being developed jointly by RAK Properties and Ellington Properties rather than simply carrying an external hospitality brand.

RAK Properties is now also expanding beyond Mina. In February 2026, it unveiled The Strand, a new residential led master planned destination within Marjan Beach District. The community introduces three interconnected districts organised around retail, landscaped public spaces and a walkable green spine.

Lunara at The Strand became the first residential release within the new master plan, with 583 apartments across three connected buildings and completion planned for 2029. The launch is significant because it establishes RAK Properties as a multi destination master developer rather than a business centred almost entirely on Mina.

With a completed track record extending over two decades and an increasingly ambitious off plan pipeline, RAK Properties now spans established family communities, waterfront apartments, resorts and branded residences. Its current direction reflects Ras Al Khaimah's wider transition into an international residential and hospitality market while retaining the company's long standing focus on large scale community creation.
