In Case You Missed It: Most Exciting New Launches in January 2019
We are not even two months into 2019 yet and we have already seen several fantastic new projects announced by noted developers such as Emaar and Meraas, among others. It can be a bit hard to keep up with so many launches at once, so we have put them all together in one handy list. These are the newly announced projects in Dubai that we are most excited about.
Palace Residences

Dubai Creek Harbour is progressing quite well and is getting ready to hand over its first residences in Q1 of this year. The project generated quite a bit of buzz last summer with the unveiling of the mega retail centre known as Dubai Square and plans for the first Chinatown in the Middle East. However, news on the residential front had gone a bit quiet. As the new year began, Creek Harbour stepped back into the spotlight with the Palace Residences, a collection of branded one to four-bedroom apartments that will adjoin the five-star Palace Hotel. It is ideally positioned so residents can look out over the Creek and the stunning Dubai Creek Tower.
Executive Residences

Dubai Hills offers some of the very finest residences in Dubai, from spectacular golf course mansions to gorgeous contemporary apartments. The latest to join that fantastic lineup is Executive Residences, a project comprising one to three-bedroom apartments with a unique concept and a very intriguing offer. Billing itself as a ‘home office’, Executive Residences provides each home buyer with a three-year business license and a visa completely free of charge. Budding entrepreneurs can kickstart their projects right at home, watching their businesses grow from their living rooms.
Cherrywoods

Another very intriguing launch is Cherrywoods by Meraas. Announced nearly two weeks ago, the project immediately caught everyone’s attention as it was quite a different direction for the developer and a far cry from stylish urban projects such as City Walk, La Mer and Bluewaters. Located along Al Qudra Road, Cherrywoods will be a residential community comprising three and four-bedroom townhouses. The community will also contain retail outlets, F&B, and a park with fitness and recreational facilities. Cherry trees will line many of the pathways and walking areas within the community, in keeping with its name.
Expo Golf Villas - Phase II

Late last year, Expo Golf Villas was launched in Emaar South, the mixed-use community that is being built near the site of Expo 2020. The project consists of three to five-bed villas overlooking the Emaar South Golf Course and enjoys access to a vast range of lifestyle amenities, including a community centre, a park, schools and hospitals. The next phase of the project was launched at the start of this year, offering a further selection of three and four-bedroom homes.
La Rive

Without a doubt, one of the most exciting launches from last year was Port de La Mer, the residential expansion to the popular La Mer beachfront and waterpark. Aiming to be Dubai’s answer to the French Riviera, Port de La Mer is divided into several oceanfront communities with a very Mediterranean character. The latest project is La Rive, which consists of one to five-bedroom apartments. With landscaped walkways, a retail promenade and direct access to a stunning marina, Port de La Mer is definitely a project to keep an eye on.
Madinat Jumeirah Living

This was another very exciting launch in the last quarter of 2018, and although there haven’t been updates this year (the latest project Rahaal was launched in December), it’s still a fantastic project to talk about. Madinat Jumeirah Living is a gorgeous residential community that will adjoin the very popular Souk Madinat Jumeirah and will enjoy a direct view of the iconic Burj Al Arab. Featuring traditional Arabian architecture (one of the highlights of Souk Madinat), the project offers one to four-bedroom apartments surrounded by a fully pedestrianized complex. Madinat Jumeirah Living is in a very prime location of Dubai and the first freehold project in the area.
