Happy Valley

Some homes just catch you as soon as you move through the entry. At 23 Blue Pool Road in Happy Valley it honestly feels like a place where family and friends would take off their shoes and stay for a while. The light from the floor to ceiling windows hits the stone and wood on the outside in a way that reminds you this place is equal parts private and open. You get that blend of East Asian style mixed with European touches. It does not feel at all forced. It just fits and settles in the way only a home in Hong Kong's Happy Valley really can. Stand in the foyer for a second and you feel it. The living and dining room just sweeps outward and you see right through to the balcony and all the greenery beyond. One minute you feel the heart of the city is just outside yet the quiet here is real. Sometimes it just makes you pause with your hand on the door and soak it in. The kitchen is not a showroom. It feels built for real cooking not just quick snacks or takeout. You can picture setting out fresh bread from one of the bakeries up the road or groceries from the market. There is a half bath tucked nearby plus room for the whole family or any friends who drop in. And you will notice life gets easier with the proper elevator just by the kitchen. Some mornings or after a late night it just becomes one of those things you are grateful for. Up the stairs everything still feels calm. There are two bedrooms on the first floor and each has its own bathroom so no one ever waits too long in the morning. I noticed the family room and thought how perfect it would be for easy Sunday mornings with coffee or those long movie nights that stretch right into midnight. Even beyond the living spaces you get two legit storerooms and a proper utility room with its own bathroom. That means space for travel bags or maybe those boxes you keep meaning to sort. The small things matter sometimes. Storage often gets overlooked in Hong Kong so it really stands out here. Second floor is where you slow down even more and feel the best of a Happy Valley villa. Three more bedrooms up here so it works for growing families or you can set up a guest room or office. The master suite actually makes you want to wake up early. You will not have to fight for hanging or drawer space because the walk in closet is generous. Some features you usually only see in high end spas like the sauna room but here it just feels like a comfort for any Friday night after a long week. The balcony outside the bedroom catches the afternoon sun and honestly for a few minutes it feels like the world gets simpler. With so much quiet and greenery you can sometimes forget just how close you are to everything in Hong Kong. Walk up to the third floor and you will find what most city homes never offer. There is a jacuzzi waiting and honestly it almost makes you think about lazy summer evenings with friends or a brunch setup out in the open. There is enough space for a barbecue or just to read outside while the city hums in the background. Plus since you have a two car garage on the ground floor and a private courtyard you never need to worry about parking or finding a spot to relax. I stood by the window for a bit and saw some kids biking by after school. It all felt friendly and very real. Blue Pool Road is one of those addresses where you get actual privacy but the best of the city is never out of reach. Good schools are close and you will always have a coffee shop or clubhouse nearby to meet neighbors. Causeway Bay is just a quick drive. You get the safety and quiet of villa life plus everything Hong Kong has to offer minutes away. It just feels like the best of both. Honestly the only way to know if this five bedroom villa in Happy Valley fits is to see it yourself. If you want to walk through or just spend some time here let us know. 5 Bedroom Villa in 23-39 Blue Pool Road, Happy Valley

Some homes just have a certain energy from the second you open the door. This five bedroom villa at 23 to 39 Blue Pool Road in Happy Valley really does exactly that. I remember walking in myself and the first thing you feel is how calm and open the place is. There is all this sunlight pouring through those tall windows, bouncing off those polished floors. Every little detail in the entry, from the handcrafted bronze screens to those folding shapes that remind you a little bit of dragon dance ribbons, just hints that there's a bit of a story here. These touches really give you a sense that Kohn Pedersen Fox, the architects on this project, wanted to blend that old world Hong Kong with something fresh and modern. With more than 4500 square feet of built up living space, you do not get that cramped feeling a lot of city homes have. You step into the main living and dining area and honestly it is bigger than a lot of the apartments I have seen downtown. You almost want to just kick off your shoes and wander around for a bit. The light in here is soft, all beige tones and gentle corners. It just puts you at ease. I could see a whole family stretched out on the sofas, or maybe friends gathering around on a Sunday afternoon, talking or playing board games. The balcony is something you will probably find yourself using every morning. I stood there for a while, just listening to the sounds drifting up from Happy Valley—really peaceful in a way, yet you know Central is just a short drive away. You might want to set up your own little morning coffee spot here or just lean over and watch the sun move behind the trees in the evening. If you like cooking, or just like the idea of it, this kitchen actually feels ready for real meals. Proper stainless steel counters, full height cabinets, nice appliances all waiting for you, and honestly it is big enough for a real mess if you get into baking or weekend brunches. I kept thinking the kitchen island here is going to see more action than the formal dining area. Plus, when you need to just heat up something quick, it all feels easy. Going upstairs is simple enough, and there's an elevator too, so it is easy if you have grandparents or if you just feel like skipping the stairs. The second level has two private storage rooms tucked away, and a big utility area that is separate from the living space, which makes a difference when things get busy. There's a family room up here so you have a spot to tuck away and watch a movie or just let the kids sprawl out with their games. Two bedrooms up here each have their own bathroom and those windows seriously do run almost to the ceiling, so even when Hong Kong weather gets a bit grey you still get that kind of moody, gentle light. The master bedroom on the next floor feels surprisingly calm. You get a walk in closet with space for just about everything, even the stuff you do not want to admit you keep. The bathroom has a big shower plus a real sauna room. So, yes, it is basically a mini spa at home. There's a balcony for those lazy afternoons with a book or just a long phone call with an old friend. The top floor is something special if you like entertaining. There is a jacuzzi out here and enough outdoor space that you can grill, set up a few tables, and have those long brunches or evening drinks you always hear people talk about. The breeze carries in from over the hill and it just always feels peaceful. The garage fits two cars, which is handy, and there's a garden courtyard on the ground level where kids and pets can let off steam. Neighbors here actually say hello, sometimes you see families walking dogs or kids riding bikes past the cafes. Blue Pool Road gives you that classic Happy Valley feel—chilled but never far from what you need. Honestly, homes like this do not show up that often. The balance of privacy, space, and that real local vibe just kind of makes you forget how close you are to the center of Hong Kong. The only way to know if it is right for you is to come and see it yourself. If you have questions, or just want to spend some time walking through, reach out anytime.
