High-Flying Lifestyle Experiences in DubaiFebruary 4, 2019
Dubai offers something for every lifestyle, from swimming with sharks and dolphins at the Atlantis to enjoying a few rounds of golf at a championship golf course that has been graced by veterans of the sport. There are a few experiences, however, that are a cut above the rest - quite literally. If you are looking for an adrenaline rush that takes you high above the city, then you should definitely try one of these high-flying activities.
XLine Dubai Marina
Soar over the skyline of Dubai Marina, catching a glimpse of the towers that make up the ‘Tallest Block in the World’. The journey, which starts at Amwaj Towers on one side of the Marina, takes you across the water to Dubai Marina Mall, so you can unwind from the ride with a nice relaxing shopping spree or a stroll around the Marina boardwalk.
At.mosphere in Burj Khalifa
The award-winning signature restaurant on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa is set a staggering 442 metres high and provides a dining experience that will be hard to top. You can have a relaxed meal in the main lounge or opt for the private dining room that only seats a maximum of 16 people and offers a choice of three, five or seven-course meals. The menu is pan-European, using the freshest seasonal ingredients sourced from around the world and the view, which stretches across the breadth of Dubai, is simply breathtaking.
Skydiving might just be the one activity that everyone wants to try at least once and with SkyDive Dubai, you can have the chance to do so any day of the week. There are two drop zones to choose from - the Palm Drop Zone at the edge of Dubai Marina and the Desert Campus on the outskirts of the city. The former drops you directly over Palm Jumeirah, giving you a unique bird’s-eye view of the island, while the latter is designed to help skydivers hone their techniques and even obtain skydiving licenses.
Flying Cup JBR
Beachside dining gets a fresh new perspective thanks to Flying Cup, a 16-seater dining space that takes you 40 metres into the air to enjoy a quick meal with family or friends. The trip only lasts about 20 minutes, but in that time you get to take in 360-degree views of the city and the sea stretching out around you. You can make bookings for birthdays and anniversaries, and there are corporate packages available as well so you can make sure your next meeting leaves a lasting impression.
SkyHub is an extension of SkyDive Dubai and is focused on the sport of paramotoring which, as the name might suggest, is a thrilling combination of paragliding and motoring. As with skydiving, there are two options to choose from - you can enjoy a private flight over Dubai Marina and the Palm in a craft customized to your flying preferences, or you can head to the desert where you have the additional option of a tandem flight.
