8 November 2018 Written by Staff Writer

Temperatures are dropping and the winter chill is starting to creep in, which for some is a time to head to the mountains and spend a few weeks in a ski lodge or a remote cabin. For other, especially across the Middle East, this is prime beach weather. This is when you can really enjoy your time by the sea, feeling a cool breeze wash over you as you tread cool blue waters and feel the sands shifting under your feet. And if you really want to make the most out of your next beach trip, then one particularly attractive option to consider is the Four Seasons Resort in Sharm El Sheikh.

Sitting on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt, the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh enjoys a prime position at the crossroads of Africa and South Asia. The resort, which opened its doors back in 2002, has quickly grown to become one of the most renowned and most popular hotels in the Middle East. It is designed in the form of a traditional Egyptian village, comprising 143 guest villas divided into clusters spread out around a hilly slope. All of the suites have an understated sense of décor, seamlessly blending plush contemporary furnishings with ornamental wood screens and large lattice windows. They also feature large decks and terraces, with most of them overlooking the glistening waters of the Red Sea.

Wellness and relaxation are key components of the resort’s amenities, which include four swimming pools, a Daniela Steiner Beauty & Wellness Spa, recreational facilities, nine restaurants showcasing a diverse array of cuisines, and a 24-hour fitness centre. A key part of the resort is a PADI dive centre that organizes scuba diving and snorkeling excursions.

The latter is especially significant as Sharm El Sheikh is one of the world’s top diving destinations, with more than 70 dive spots located just a short boat ride from the coast. Among them are two shipwrecks from World War II and the famous Ras Muhammad National Park, a natural reserve best known for its beautiful coral reefs and diverse marine life. Guests can also explore the Sinai Desert that borders one end of the resort or simply enjoy a relaxing evening on the private beach.

A new expansion to the resort has just been announced, which will feature an exclusive collection of Private Residences, divided into spacious villas and comfortable chalets. At the heart of the expansion will be The Village, a segmented facility offering more dining and leisure options. This will be the third Four Seasons Private Residences in the MENA region and, in addition to the resort’s own expansion, will help to make it the largest Four Seasons in the world by total area.
