Emaar Beachfront

Emaar Beachfront, the private gated island being built adjacent to Palm Jumeirah, will be launching its latest residential offering very soon. This exclusive community has already had a very strong start to the year with the launch of its first apartment towers - Beach Vista and Sunrise Bay - both of which proved to be a major hit with end home buyers and investors alike.

Comprising a total of 27 towers with a Miami-inspired aesthetic along with resort-style amenities and 1.5 kilometres of private beach, Emaar Beachfront will be a bold new destination for beachfront living in Dubai. It is part of the master project of Dubai Harbour, which stretches out between Palm Jumeirah and Jumeirah Beach Residence. Details on the new launch at Emaar Beachfront are scant at present and will become clearer in the next couple of weeks, but here is what we know about the overall project so far.

Maritime Tourism

Dubai Harbour is expected to become the new focal point of maritime tourism in the Middle East. The offshore neighbourhood will be home to two immense cruise terminals measuring over 150,000 sq ft each with an expected flow of 1.2 million passengers annually. In an unprecedented move, both terminals will be built simultaneously. The cruise industry has been steadily growing worldwide, with over 24 million people around the world travelling by cruise in 2017, a number that is charted to rise to 40 million by 2030. Dubai Harbour will be in an ideal position to capitalize on this growing market segment with its twin terminals.

The community will also be home to the largest yacht marina in the Middle East, housing in excess of 1,100 berths that will be able to accommodate super yachts up to 85 meters in length.

Shopping & Dining

Dubai loves its shopping malls. Whether a small boutique shopping center in the Jumeirah district or the massive Dubai Mall, there is a retail space that caters for anyone living in any neighbourhood. As one would expect, a shopping mall will also be part of Dubai Harbour’s layout, covering 875,000 square feet.

For a more laidback retail experience, you might head to the promenade at Emaar Beachfront, which will be dotted with shops, restaurants and cafes right along the beach.

Dubai Lighthouse

After the Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Lighthouse will be another magnificent architectural marvel that will make its mark on the city. Located at the tip of Dubai Harbour, the Lighthouse will stand 135 meters tall and will feature an observation deck offering 360-degree views that encompass the Arabian Gulf, the Palm Jumeirah and the city’s glittering skyline. The exterior facade of the structure will be covered in reflective surfaces that can be used to transform it into a large vertical projection screen for special events such as New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Transport Network

Dubai Harbour will feature a strong, multi-layered transport network providing seamless connections to its neighbouring districts. A bridge will link it directly to Palm Jumeirah and the Dubai mainland will be accessible by road, air and sea. The infrastructure of the island itself will be designed to allow ease of movement across its landscape and to grant its residents with ready beach access.

Racing Circuit

Though unconfirmed, there is speculation that Dubai Harbour could be the site of Dubai’s own Formula One circuit, complementing the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. The roadways of Dubai Harbour will supposedly be designed so they can be used to host races. All of this is just rumor for now, though we will get a better picture of how that plays out as the project moves further toward completion.

Emaar Beachfront still has many surprises in store as the project continues to take shape and we are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming launch.
