Some places stay with you long after you leave. I felt that when I walked into this villa on Crete's quieter side. It is a piece of the island that feels special as soon as you get near it. The bright white walls catch the sun in that way you only really see in the Mediterranean and the roof has those deep clay tiles that remind you where you are. The thing that really sticks with me about this villa is how every part of it makes the most of its spot by the sea.
