Some homes just seem to draw you in from the first step across the threshold. This three bedroom penthouse up at Principal Tower in Shoreditch did that for me. I remember pausing by the entry for a second because the skyline view kind of stopped me for a moment. Here, in these upper floors, everything opens out in a way you only really feel once you are up here looking out over London.
The living space is actually bigger than it looks in photos to be honest. You get two proper dining spots which just seems to make gatherings feel a little easier. You could host friends at the table by the window or just keep a quiet breakfast out on one of the two terraces. Each terrace has its own angle on the city. I was out there early one morning and it almost felt quiet above it all except for some birds wheeling over the rooftops. The open kitchen does not feel like a prop either. The countertops have that nice cool finish and everything is within easy reach. Sometimes apartments this high up feel too fancy to cook in but this kitchen feels real. It looks like a spot where you really could try a new recipe on a weeknight.
Bedrooms are spread out a bit and you notice how much privacy everyone would get. Two are true master bedrooms the ensuite bathrooms are done up so well each one has those big walk in showers and you will probably be happy to see the double sinks in the main one. The walk in closet is better than most and there is actually room for suitcases plus shoes plus the stuff you use every day. The guest bedroom feels like its own corner too and the built in closets save you plenty of trouble so no need for clunky wardrobes. It is nice that one of the bedrooms has its own terrace. I stood out there late one afternoon and you catch this amazing golden light over the city just as it starts to wind down but you are still up in your own calm space.
Living in Principal Tower has a bit of a hotel ease to it. That landscaped piazza outside becomes part of your routine once you have strolled through it a few times. The concierge desk is staffed around the clock but it is actually friendly not stiff so you get a real neighborhood feel even with all the comfort. If you are into wellness or just like a quiet swim sometimes the lap pool has this gentle morning light that makes it tempting to sneak in before coffee. Gym is fully kitted out so you are not missing anything if you skip the health club in the city. There is even a cinema room tucked away quietly when you just do not want to deal with crowds. The private lounge has these cozy seats perfect for a book or quick chat with friends while you wait for a guest to come up. Honestly parking and bicycle storage are both sorted below ground so you never have to think twice about city traffic or your e bike getting wet in the rain.
Shoreditch itself keeps things energetic but Principal Tower sits just a little west of the busiest spots. Coffee shops are around every corner here and some of the best bakeries in London are just a short wander away. Evenings sometimes you see folks out walking dogs or heading off for last minute dinner plans and there is a sense of real people living real lives.
You can look at photos and floorplans all day but the way this penthouse sits above London just feels different in person. If something here catches your eye or if you just want to walk through and see if it feels like home reach out any time. At LuxuryProperty.com we want your next move to feel a little easier so you can just focus on deciding if this view is right for you.
