Green Community is located in the southwest of Dubai a short distance from the waterfront district of Dubai Marina, port district of Jebel Ali and the newly emerging Dubai South region. It is the chief residential component of the area known as Dubai Investments Park.
As its name suggests, the main focus of Green Community is to offer a tranquil lifestyle in a lush, verdant environment. Split between Green Community East and the newer Green Community West, the area offers a vibrant mix of villas, low-rises apartments and townhouses centred around a lovely artificial lake.
The Lifestyle
Green Community is a sanctuary for those who want to get away from the rigors of city life. As a gated community with plenty of exclusive private spaces, it is a secure family environment, and is also perfectly suited for lovers of the great outdoors. When walking around the area’s many parks and open green spaces, it’s easy to forget that this is a community in Dubai, as it feels very much like a North American suburb.
The Market
A small shopping centre in the heart of Green Community, The Market is the area's main retail and dining hub. There are restaurants within the centre, and along its outer extension, which runs along one bank of the lake.
Courtyard by Marriott
The Courtyard Dubai is a charming low-rise hotel that stretches across one end of the lake, and is adjacent to The Market. It has a distinct character, with a ‘clock tower' rising above the rest of the hotel and a glass-fronted dining atrium that affords diners a lakeside view.
Parks
Several parks and childrens' play areas dot the landscape of Green Community. To ensure, maximum tranquility, there is also an exclusive residents-only park just beyond the lake.
Schools and Hospitals
There are a few primary and secondary schools within Green Community, such as Nibras Private School and Al Warood Private Academy, while the well-known International School of Choueifat lies just beyond the community's boundaries. A branch of Dubai's renowned NMC Hospital group is located on the western end of the community.
