Community Guide: District One
Developed by Meydan Group, District One is part of Mohammed Bin Rashid (MBR) City, a multi-phase group of communities that also includes Sobha, Meydan and Dubai Hills Estate. District One is a gated community comprising over a thousand acres of landscaped greenery, set around a Crystal Lagoon and is an “innovative megapolis inspired by visionary leadership”.
Mansions and Villas
District One’s mansion and villa options are plentiful, with a range of architectural styles available including; Mediterranean - think sun-drenched and cosy, Contemporary - minimalist design that doesn’t compromise on convenience and Modern Arabic - warm and welcoming, with nods to classic design.
Mansions are available in 7 or 8 bedroom options and each is designed, as you’d expect, with incredible attention to detail. It is currently on hold to allow for other construction projects to be completed, so if you need a shopping fix head to Dubai Mall which is less than 10 minutes drive from District One and has all the diversions you could possibly need.
For families, proximity to schools is a key consideration when looking for a new home, and District One is close to some great options including Clarion School and Dubai International School which is one of the city's oldest institutions, having been established in 1985. Healthcare options are also plentiful with Mediclinic in Dubai Mall, and Medcare Hospital in Al Safa.
Not only is District One surrounded by iconic landmarks, it is also bordered by four arterial roads for easy connections across the city. Al Khail Road, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed, Al-Ain Road and Emirates Road are all right on the doorstep, with quick connections to Sheikh Zayed Road as well. The community is not on a metro or bus line however, so if you live here a car is key. The nearest metro station is in Business Bay and the nearest Bus station is the Al Quoz intersection. This does mean that parking is plentiful within District One.
