You almost forget you are so close to downtown Montreal, but you are. That makes dinner plans or a quick trip into the city simple. Privacy is good here. The villa is tucked away just enough that you do not hear traffic but still close to schools, good shops, and all those local spots that make Montreal special. The street is quiet enough that sometimes you do not hear anything at all except maybe a few squirrels or the wind in the old hardwood trees behind the house. Sometimes there is this idea that to get real peace and privacy you have to live way out of town but honestly this place proves otherwise. You are only around twenty minutes to downtown Toronto in the car but when you are standing in the backyard looking out at the woods it feels like you have your own piece of countryside. That is partly because all the land behind this house is protected government space so there will never be any rear neighbours. It is one of those little things that sort of takes the pressure off and lets you relax. There&#039;s all this space too. And you are only a few minutes on foot from the York Mills subway station if you want to take the train downtown or just avoid Toronto traffic altogether. Sometimes I think people do not realize how rare it is to get this much space and privacy and still pop out for a coffee or catch a show downtown that same night. Now for someone thinking ahead the land size here is a big deal. More than half an acre. If you ever wanted to redevelop you could look at building a big custom house up to nine thousand square feet with your own ideas about a pool or a tennis court or whatever works for your own family. There are not many spots left in Toronto where you can do that. In the end I think you can read all the details but the only way you will know how this place feels is to come visit.
