A look at 5 of Bluewaters' Best Restaurants
Bluewaters is a “vibrant lifestyle destination” from Meraas, the developer behind La Mer and City Walk. Billed as a shoppers paradise, it offers an excellent array of retail and dining options, all in the shadow of Ain Dubai - the world’s biggest ferris wheel which is set to be the hottest tourist destination when it opens.
In this blog, we’ll take a look at a selection of Bluewaters best restaurants:
Top 5 Fine Dining Restaurants in Bluewaters Dubai
1. Brass Monkey Social | 2. Sah El Nom |
3. The Coffee Club | 4. Puerto 99 |
5. Ketch Up |
1. Brass Monkey Social

Part restaurant, part bar, Brass Monkey Social is a playground for adults with bowling lanes, VR simulators and an old school arcade. Situated towards the end of the island, it’s 21+ only and in addition to the restaurant and games downstairs, it has Bushido lounge upstairs - an Asian themed bar.
There’s plenty to keep guests entertained every night of the week with Happy Hour Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, Ladies Night on Wednesday and brunch on Friday (which comes with 3 hours of unlimited arcade tickets). The menu is bold and generous with sharing platters, pizza and retro desserts guaranteed to evoke childhood nostalgia.
The interior is exactly what you’d expect - think industrial chic with exposed brick effects, concrete floors, neon signs and muted lighting. The brand is strongly represented in every possible area, right down to the monkey branded burger buns. For a lively lunch or dinner experience, Brass Monkey Social is well-worth a visit. Call 052 775 5317 for reservations.
2. Sah El Nom

Offering up generous portions of the “best Syrian food this side of Damascus”, Sah El Nom’s focus is excellent Arabic food, fast. Their menu has all the mezze and grills you would expect to see, plus some specialities such as seafood biryani, ouzi short ribs and Ghapama - a baked pumpkin stuffed with rice, minced meat and nuts. Their desserts are plentiful and beautiful - date and cardamom cake with coffee sorbet, baklawa, honey cake and kunafeh are just some of the choices.
The restaurant space is light, with quirky touches here and there in the artwork and decorations. Service is warm and friendly, but not overbearing - all of the elements combine well, helping the restaurant achieve its lofty goal to “spread an enriching dining and social experience”. The Bluewaters location is actually the second - the original is the cafe in Business Bay, on Marasi Drive. Alongside the cafe, there’s also an express restaurant offering classic quick bites with a twist. For more information, you can contact the Bluewaters restaurant on 04 587 7096.
3. The Coffee Club

Started in Brisbane in 1989, The Coffee Club quickly became a household name and has since expanded to 450 outlets in 11 countries. Known for its all-day dining menu, it’s relaxed and informal - and far more than just a coffee shop. The philosophy and mission is simple, “good food, great service, excellent coffee in a welcoming and natural surrounding”.
Their menus are diverse with seasonal and ‘themed’ options such as their current plant-based curation - breakfasts, salads, mains and drinks are all available with excellent vegan options.
The Bluewaters Island community has beautiful views, visible from the floor to ceiling windows that allow plenty of natural light to flood in. This complements the restaurant’s aesthetic perfectly - pale wood offset by a soft neutral colour palette, with exposed metal. Bookings are not necessary but you can contact the Bluewaters location on 04 399 1536.
4. Puerto 99

Chefs Ivan, Andreas and Luis each bring their own perspective to the kitchen, blending together to create a passionate and dedicated team of committed professionals. The menu at Puerto 99 features an abundance of seafood, as well as authentic regional Mexican dishes all served in “a warm atmosphere and unique style”.
Their menu is very extensive - don’t try and order in a hurry - and features staple starters such as queso fundido and ‘street corn’, plus a huge selection of ceviche. Following this are chef’s specials such as chipotle brown crab, lamb shank ‘birra’, and a ton of tacos. Rounding out the offering are desserts such as churros and tres leches cake - what more could you need?!
If you needed more reasons to visit Puerto 99, they run regular events throughout the week including a 99dhs breakfast deal, set lunch on Friday & Saturday with 3 hours of food and cocktails, Catrina Tuesdays - unlimited chef’s selection from 8-11pm and Ritmo Ladies Night every Sunday from 8:30 - 11:30pm with free flowing beverages for 150dhs. To book a table, call 04 557 6627.
5. Ketch Up

Closing out our list is Ketch Up, an American-inspired restaurant which positions itself as “stylish but laid back”. In addition to their “trendy, casual dining bar and restaurant” downstairs, they have a licenced lounge upstairs, with resident DJ - a great place to dance away any dinner excess.
As you’d expect, it’s not just about food - Happy Hour runs Saturday - Tuesday 4-8pm and Ladies Night is every Wednesday from 6-9pm. For 150dhs you get 5 tokens, redeemable on food and drinks.
The aesthetic of Ketch Up certainly matches their intended vibe - light and bright by day, moody by night to take it from casual restaurant to buzzing hotspot. The menu promises “colourful burgers” in signature buns but these are only available on their sliders, and some of the burger combinations aren’t for the faint of heart (beef, foie gras and fresh raspberry ‘super burger’ any-one?!) That being said, they certainly have a good selection and so you’re sure to find something to tempt you, even if it’s just a standard burger. You can contact the restaurant on 050 750 7424.
As well as a diverse range of restaurants, Bluewaters has a great selection of apartments & with easy transport links directly to Sheikh Zayed Road meaning every part of Dubai is within easy reach. If you’re considering making Bluewaters your home, please contact us today.
