Encircling the heart of Downtown, Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard is the main thoroughfare of the district and the ideal place for a morning or evening stroll. It is a gastronomic hub, dotted with popular fine dining restaurants such as La Serre, along with several eclectic cafes including fashion-inspired I Love F Cafe and the exquisite Maison Bagatelle. You can access all of the main areas of Downtown via the boulevard, including the lovely Burj Lake where you can enjoy a panoramic view.

Burj Khalifa

What better way to enjoy lunch than at the world’s tallest tower, overlooking the entire city as you tuck into a sumptuous meal prepared by a world-class culinary team? At.mosphere, the signature restaurant of Burj Khalifa, is the highest restaurant in the world and an unmissable experience. If you’re not too comfortable with heights, then you can always opt for Armani Lounge, part of the Armani Hotel and located along the lobby level of the tower. Armani Ristorante is another exceptional dining option, but it is only open for dinner.

The Dubai Mall

t is the second largest mall in the world after the Iran Mall by total land area, and the 26th-largest shopping mall in the world by gross leasable area, tying with West Edmonton Mall and Fashion Island (Bangkok)—both of which are older than it. It has a total retail floor area of 502,000 square metres (5,400,000 sq ft). Located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, it is part of the 20-billion-dollar Downtown complex (called Downtown Dubai) adjacent to the iconic Burj Khalifa, and includes over 1,200 shops. In 2011, it was the most visited building on the planet, attracting over 54 million visitors each year.

Dubai Opera

Dubai Opera is a 2,000-seat, multi-format, performing arts centre, which is located within The Opera District in Downtown Dubai. It was developed by Emaar Properties to host a variety of performances and events including theatre, opera, ballet, concerts, conferences and exhibitions. Its plans were announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in March 2012 and it was completed in 2016. It opened on 31 August 2016 with a performance by Plácido Domingo. The first season featured Bizet's The Pearl Fishers opera and also the legendary tenor José Carreras. Dubai Opera has flat floor capacity of 1,800 m2 (19,000 sq ft). This floor can be hired for weddings, gala dinners, fashion shows and exhibitions.

Souk Al Bahar

Blending the classic with the contemporary, Souk Al Bahar, the “sailor’s market”, is a step back in time to the wonder and allure of old Arabia. Situated in Downtown Dubai’s beating heart, it is enchantingly Arabesque – a lively marketplace that offers the city’s residents and tourists alike an enthralling experience of shopping, entertainment and dining in intriguing contrast to The Dubai Mall, to which it connects via a bridge that spans the breadth of Burj Lake. A mosaic of treasured heritage and enthusiastic expressions of retail, it features over 100 shops, amidst which lie 22 restaurants, cafés and lounges, most situated on the waterfront promenade, on the fringes of Burj Lake. A true vantage point to take in grand vistas of Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountain, it is quite likely one of the most photographed locations in the world.
