Community Spotlight: Jumeirah

Jumeirah is synonymous with luxury and high end living. The neighborhood has shaped into one of the most sought after destinations in Dubai for people from far and wide. Located along the coast of Dubai, the affluent neighborhood offers a variety of residential options that combine luxury with convenience.

Jumeirah is sometimes confused with JBR, which is at some distance. The community includes all the usual suspects; high-rise buildings, waterfront residences, fancy restaurants and plenty of unique attractions. So, without further ado, let’s find out what makes the prospect of living in Jumeirah so alluring.

Community Overview

Jumeirah is divided into Jumeirah 1, 2, 3, City Walk and the recently launched Jumeirah Bay Island. All these districts have one thing in common – they offer unparalleled luxury and comfort to its residents. The latest addition in Jumeirah is Mr C Residences, a world-class living by the 4th generation of the highly renowned Cipriani family. . The blend of opulence and convenience is clearly visible – with luxury retailers and mini marts operating side by side. The neighborhood is especially popular among beach lovers since it is in close proximity to the residential units. Even people from different areas of Dubai head to Jumeirah to take a breather from the monotony of life.

If you are a pet lover, you would love the calm and placid ambience that surrounds the area. Jumeirah has separate strips for walking your pets and jogging. Also, the houses are built with sufficient front and backyard space to accommodate your pets. Where Jumeirah really shines is its immaculate planning – all the necessities of life are easily accessible. Healthcare centers, grocery stores, supermarkets, fitness options, and luxury brands are all just a walk away.

Jumeirah Beach

What else can be said about the beach that hasn’t been already? The iconic beach stretches along the coast of Dubai and features a host of exciting activities. Visitors usually soak themselves under the sun or take to the water to get a dopamine fix. For kids, there are numerous small kiosks and shops offering candies, lottery gifts, souvenirs etc. The beach is also a fantastic place for those who just want to spend a lazy afternoon and remove all the stress from their system.

Close to the beach, you have a lot of eating options. Restaurants cater to all types of taste buds. You can get authentic Lebanese, Indian, Mediterranean, Latin American and Fusion cuisines. Furthermore, luxury hotels; such as Four Seasons, Bvlgari and Mandarin Oriental overlook the beach.

Jumeirah 1

Jumeirah 1 is the most popular sub-community in the neighborhood, and features contemporary villas and studios as well as 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. The community is extremely convenient for individuals and families since it provides easy access to all amenities and facilities, such as Mercato Shopping Mall, the Dubai Zoo, Jumeirah Mosque and the beach just minutes away.

Jumeirah 1 comprises of Wasl 51, Jumeirah 9 Villas and 16 Villas Compound. The Wasl 1 compound offers luxury 3 and 4-bed villas, with each having a pool, a landscaped courtyard and a dine by the pool area. Some residential units even include lifts, Jacuzzis and barbecue areas.

Jumeirah 2

In terms of occupancy, Jumeirah 2 is second last on the list – but don’t let that deter you from exploring this scintillating sub-community. Jumeirah 2 primarily consists of villas with exquisite design and impressive amenities. The two villa compounds available in this area are Garden Villas and The Terraces, and are configured in 1-3 bed units.

Both Garden Villas and the Terraces offer splendid amenities that include dedicated bbq areas, swimming pools, private gyms, landscaped gardens and sea-facing units. All units have their own parking spaces.

Jumeirah 3

Jumeirah 3’s major selling point is that among all the sub-communities, it’s the closest to the beach. Also nearby are the Kite Beach and Sunset mall – both popular destinations for people to hang out. In terms of residential units, Jumeirah 3 comprises of Arenco Villas 32 and Al Safeena Villas.

Arenco Villas 32 feature extraordinary interior décor, and spacious compounds – perfect for gatherings and meet ups. Moreover, the Villas provide access to a squash court, a giant swimming pool and a world class gym. As with all sub-communities, it is pet friendly. Al Safeena Villas come with the same amenities and feature 11 detached 3-bed villas featuring world class luxury such as, German hardwood flooring, floor to ceiling windows and boutique wooden interior.

City Walk

City Walk is fast getting the traction it deserves. As the name suggests, people can just stroll on the pedestrian sidewalk and enjoy the sublime views of the neighborhood. Overall, City Walk has the most options among all sub-communities in Jumeirah. It features an ultra-modern cluster of major retail brands from around the world, and the residential units comprise of 34, mid-rise buildings with a shimmering glass exterior.

Also present are numerous commercial property units with state of the art amenities at disposal. What’s best is the entire strip is connected with attractions such as, Downtown Dubai, fountain shows, the Coca Cola center among others.

But perhaps the most impressive fact about City Walk is the ease of transportation. Public buses, metro stations, and cabs are available round the clock. Besides, the community is so vibrant, it has become the epicenter of social gatherings in Jumeirah.

Jumeirah Bay Island

Spanning over 6 million sq.ft, Jumairah Bay Island is an astonishing feat of architectural virtuosity. Occupying a central position in Jumeirah, the Bay Island enjoys breathtaking vistas of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s jaw-dropping skyline.

The gated neighborhood consists of 165 apartments divided into 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms residential units. Also available are 3 and 4-bedroom villas with luxurious finishing. Most of the villas in Jumeirah come furnished with a swimming pool, floor-to-ceiling windows, a maid room, and a garage. The kitchens are unique in that they follow a black tile, granite top theme – which oozes class and suaveness. Commuting is not an issue, with public buses stopping at regular intervals, while the nearest metro station; Business Bay is at a 10-minute drive.
