25 February 2018 Written by Utkarsh

Dubai is known for its vibrant waterfront destinations. Luxuryproperty.com has put together a list of the best areas in Dubai that offer prime residential options along with excellent facilities and of course, the most unparalleled views.

Palm Jumeirah

Palm Jumeirah
Billed as the Eighth Wonder of the World, Palm Jumeirah is Dubai's most captivating offshore destination due to its unique palm tree-inspired form, consisting of a trunk with 17 fronds all crowned by a circular crescent. Located off the coastal area of Jumeirah Beach, it is part of the three Palm Islands – Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira.

Featuring a pristine golden beach line and an exclusive collection of ultra-luxurious residential accommodations, varying from luxury villas, apartments, and townhouses, Palm Jumeirah offers an unrivaled standard of beachfront living in Dubai. Its magnificent residences, accompanied by first-class lifestyle conveniences, are a true embodiment of what lavish living truly is.

Dubai Water Canal

Dubai Water Canal
Dubai Water Canal is a 3.2km long waterway that extends from the Creek in Old Dubai through Business Bay, before finding its way back to the Arabian Gulf. The man-made channel, which opened in 2016, meanders through the centre of the city, transforming the face of Downtown Dubai and turning it into a waterfront destination. Nearby, you will find the magnificent V Hotel and Hilton Al Habtoor City as well as the captivating aquatic show, La Perle by Dragone.

JBR/Dubai Marina

Dubai Marina
Dubai Marina is an affluent residential neighborhood known for The Beach at JBR, a leisure complex with al fresco dining and sandy stretches to relax on. Smart cafes and pop-up craft markets line waterside promenade Dubai Marina Walk, while Dubai Marina Mall is packed with chain and luxury fashion brands. Upscale yachts cruise through the large man-made marina, where activities range from jet-skiing to skydiving.

Dubai Creek Harbor

Dubai Creek Harbor
Dubai Creek Harbour rises above its namesake waterway, and is located between the city's historical locales and newer hubs of Downtown Dubai and Business Bay which are just 10 to 15 minutes away by car.

The district is the ideal spot for enjoying a slower pace of life, and taking in the serene skyline and marina views over an al fresco meal at food trucks or cafes. Stroll along the 6km promenade and stop for photographs at one of the bright-hued art installations, or hop aboard a boat tour and enjoy some of the city’s key landmarks from the water.

For a stay with a difference, check in at the chic Vida Creek Harbour hotel. Take a dip in the infinity pool, which comes with views of the Burj Khalifa, or borrow a bike from the hotel for a leisurely ride around the harbour.
