The month of Ramadan has begun, and there are several excellent options for a traditional Iftar meal featuring classic favorites from around the region. If you are looking for something a little bit different, then you can head to one of these fantastic restaurants this month and enjoy a meal with a creative twist. Here are a few unique options for you to try during Ramadan 2021.

This modern Indian bistro located in DIFC presents a fun contemporary spin on street food and curries, all in a chic atmosphere that fuses East and West. For Ramadan, the restaurant is offering up an Iftar menu that includes Indian ‘mezze’ (with dishes like samosas, fried okra, and spicy chicken wings), plus a variety of kebabs, biryani, and much more.

The recently opened Sofitel The Obelisk at Wafi Mall features a restaurant concept by acclaimed French chef Daniel Boulud, who is best known for his eponymous Michelin-starred New York restaurant. Brasserie Boulud has a French-style Iftar with date soup, burrata with artichokes and za’atar, mushroom falafels, lamb shank prepared ouzi-style (wrapped in filo pastry with rice), and sweet treats like date pudding and saffron-poached pear tartlets.

Perched on a higher floor of the Address Sky View towers, Ce La Vi serves up high-end contemporary Asian cuisine that can be enjoyed alongside the most stunning views of Downtown Dubai. The Ramadan menu features exquisite fare such as a salad with date cream and pomegranate pearls, as well as main dishes such as roasted black cod and grilled baby chicken satay.

Finish off with a sweet combination of Chinese and Arabic flavours - date pudding with mandarin orange-infused chantilly cream, plus salted caramel and honey ice-cream.

The first concept restaurant in the world modeled after the extremely popular competitive cooking show, the Masterchef restaurant in Dubai Marina provides a star-studded dining experience with decor that is modeled after the famous Masterchef kitchen set. There is a three-course menu being offered during Ramadan, which starts off with some very traditional sharing dishes including dates, hummus and Arabic bread. This is followed by a choice of five mains that are taken from the most popular options on the menu, and mouth-watering dessert options.

The Iftar menu includes an innovative Middle Eastern spread with strong Asian flavours, with dishes such as wasabi falafel, wagyu biryani, couscous with lobster, and a spin on the famous Arabic bread pudding Umm Ali that’s infused with matcha.
