Upper Crest, Downtown Dubai
Some places just feel sort of calm before you even walk all the way through the door. That is the vibe in this two bedroom apartment at Upper Crest in Downtown Dubai. I remember letting the noise of the city fade away as soon as I stepped inside. The first thing I noticed was how much sunlight moves into the living room in the late morning. There are these really big windows in the living and dining space and you just cannot ignore how much sky you see. You feel like you are watching the city come to life every day right from your sofa. Honestly it just puts you in a different mood.
This apartment is vacant right now and that always makes it easier to imagine yourself living here because there is nothing getting in your way. With a spacious built up area at one thousand and sixty two square feet it actually feels open and there are not any awkward corners. You walk from the entrance and everything is right where you want it. There is enough room for a real dining table too, not just a tiny one for two. The kitchen is modern and simple, it actually feels like somewhere you want to chop vegetables or invite a friend over and try that recipe you saved ages ago.
When I looked out the windows for a while I noticed you get an honest stretch of the Downtown Dubai skyline as your view. It is just one of those details that make a difference. You might even catch the lights from Burj Khalifa or someone walking their dog in the early evening. You do not hear much from the city when you close the windows so it just feels peaceful even though you are right in the middle of everything.
If you are the sort of person who likes to work out or swim then you will probably remember the amenities. The swimming pool is honestly a nice place to just float and look up at the sky or just do a quick lap before heading out. There is a gym that feels clean and big enough to actually use. I also peeked at the sauna and spa area. It kind of made me think this could be a foundation for a pretty chilled routine. With a valet service downstairs you almost forget your car until you actually need it and the concierge always seems to just know what day it is. You feel taken care of without it ever being too much.
Upper Crest is one of those buildings where you notice people do actually live here. Some mornings you see a family going off for breakfast or hear a couple of kids shout about their weekend plans in the lift. There is security around the clock but it does not feel intimidating or over the top. And honestly the location just makes everyday life a lot easier. Dubai Mall is never far away so whether it is coffee or a late night cinema run you just do it on impulse. The best thing is, you are also near some of the best restaurants in Downtown Dubai so if you want to just grab sushi or pizza you barely have to think about it.
Getting around is kind of simple from here. DIFC is just up the road and most days traffic is not even a worry. For days you need to get to the airport it is only about thirteen minutes, and that is even with a couple of red lights. Hospitals, schools, big supermarkets, it is all just part of the neighbourhood so you can roll out of bed and basically have everything you might need without much planning.
This apartment is not furnished which actually I think is better. You can put your own touch on it and just make it fit the way you like to live. Sometimes you want to start fresh anyway, especially when the space already feels good.
I always say the only way to really know if a place feels right is just to come see it for yourself. If you have questions or even just want to wander through and check the light in the living room at different times of the day send a message anytime. At LuxuryProperty.com we want your next move to feel a bit easier and honestly just comfortable for you.
