2 bedroom apartment in The Jewels, Dubai Marina

Some homes just have a certain calm when you walk in and this two bedroom apartment at The Jewels in Dubai Marina honestly gave me that feeling right away. It is not even about the big numbers or the glossy bits you see in a brochure. I mean as soon as I stepped in I could see out these huge windows and there was that Dubai Marina backdrop, the skyline kind of wraps itself around you. You hear the life of the city but not so much that you cannot relax. It is really rare to get both anywhere in Dubai. Once I stood by the window for a few minutes and just watched the boats slip by and you kind of forget you are right in the middle of the city.

Now this apartment is actually unfurnished so you get to bring your own style to it. Some people love to start fresh. You can make it feel like home from day one. With over two thousand square feet you never feel cramped. The living area is open plan and everything just flows. You get all the light pouring in from floor to ceiling windows pretty much all day especially in the afternoon. It is easy to imagine hosting a few friends here or just stretching out on the couch after work with the city down below. The kitchen surprised me a bit actually because it is made for real cooking and not just takeout nights. There is loads of counter space and the appliances are all good quality. If you like to cook for friends or even just for yourself it just feels like somewhere you would want to try something new.

Both bedrooms are really comfortable and they both come with their own bathrooms so you always have that bit of privacy even if you are sharing with a flatmate or have someone over to stay. Waking up in the main bedroom feels pretty special because those same big marina views are right outside. I did notice how quiet it seems at night too so it is not one of those apartments where you hear street noise all the time. Sometimes you wake up early and just see the sun bouncing off the water. Makes you want to get up and go for a walk along the Marina Promenade which is honestly right downstairs.

Having a proper gym and pool always helps. You might never have to sign up for another gym again because it is just an elevator ride away. The pool area is nice for a swim after work or just to sit out and read for an hour. There is even a sauna if that is your thing and you just want to take fifteen minutes to recover after a long day. The security team is always there so you feel completely safe coming and going even late.

What I really liked about The Jewels is that you do not need a car to have a good life here. The cafes and restaurants in Dubai Marina are everywhere. Morning coffee is minutes away. You see people walking their dogs or going for a run and every weekend there is something happening on the waterfront. You can get groceries without ever needing to drive and if you do need the Metro or a taxi it is never far. Sometimes I see families heading to the beach with their gear and that could be you on a Saturday without even planning ahead.

It is easy to imagine a week going by here where you mostly do your own thing but when you want to be social you just step outside and the area is honestly buzzing. The building stays pretty calm though so when you are home it still feels easy. Sometimes you almost forget your phone and just look out at the city lights coming on at dusk.
