Some places just have a way of slowing you down the second you step through the door. That is honestly the feeling I got when I walked into this two bedroom apartment at FIVE Palm Jumeirah. You can just tell right away that you are in one of the best spots in Dubai. It is the kind of apartment where you want to toss your shoes off at the entrance and let your shoulders drop a little. You look around and it is bright and open and just feels… easy. There is real breathing space, which is something I think you really notice after seeing so many boxy little units around the city. Here, the living area just opens up with so much light coming through those big windows. There is a balcony too that pulls you outside without even trying. Sometimes you stand out there and the view sort of sneaks up on you. It stretches right across the Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline. It feels like you can almost just walk down to the sand and dip your toes in.

The kitchen actually feels like somewhere you might cook, or at least want to have friends over for coffee and snacks. Nothing is crammed together. There is plenty of counter space and you can just picture those mornings with the sliding doors open to let in the sea air. The bedrooms are both made for quiet. It takes a second to notice how far you are from the city noise here. You do not wake up to honking or traffic. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms so if you are living with family or have guests over, no one is crowding anyone else. You will notice there is wardrobe space too, which is underrated in my opinion since so many places in Dubai look good but do not give you anywhere to put your stuff.

FIVE Palm Jumeirah is one of those places that locals know just for the way it sits right on the trunk of the Palm. You feel tucked away from the rush but actually you are never far from anything. The coffee shop is just downstairs and the spa is somewhere you will probably end up spending more time than you think. There are fine dining restaurants that I have tried myself and honestly, you sometimes find yourself wondering why you would even eat out anywhere else. It is almost impossible to get bored here. If you work out, the gym is way better than most apartment gyms I have seen and you get those five swimming pools to swap between. One day it is a swim before work, another day it is just lounging with a book or scrolling through your phone with the water in view.

The beach is right there too and sometimes you will see kids building sandcastles or people just taking a morning walk with their coffee. There is this sense of energy everywhere but it does not feel overwhelming. You want to dip in and out of it at your own pace. I noticed it is also pretty easy to get around because taxis and rideshares are always lined up, and if you drive there is parking for residents. Plus you can get to the rest of Dubai from here way quicker than you think. Marina is just over the bridge and the rest of the Palm is your backyard.

This apartment is available for rent and is actually unfurnished which lets you make it feel like your own place instead of someone else's. You can bring your own style, your own favorite couch, even your dog if you have one. The built up area is generous so you are not squeezing everything into corners. It is just a space where you walk in and start to imagine life unfolding here.
