BLVD Heights Tower 2, BLVD Heights, Downtown Dubai
Some places just have that feeling the moment you step in. I felt it right away when I visited this two bedroom apartment at BLVD Heights in Downtown Dubai. Maybe it was the way the afternoon sun touched the living room floor or just noticing how quiet it got up on a high floor even though you're right in the middle of downtown. It felt easy somehow. I found myself hanging by the window just taking in that wide city skyline view and yes, you can actually see the blue stretch of the sea too. People talk about views all the time but here it's not just talk. You really get those big open sights especially from the two balconies.
This part of BLVD Heights does feel a bit special. Walk in and you notice straight away how open the living space is. It is bright and real spacious. If you have friends over or even if it's just you coming home at the end of a workday, you get that sense of breathing room that's missing in a lot of apartments. And both bedrooms are tucked away in a spot that just feels quiet. I think people sometimes worry about city noise but up here you only hear a bit of life down below if you open the window. The built in wardrobes are actually usable which for me is important. I picture someone genuinely living here, not just stopping by. The bathrooms were clean and well laid out, and you have both a shower and a bathtub in each which I know a lot of people ask about.
The kitchen feels like someone will actually cook in it. Not one of those spaces that just looks good in photos and then feels awkward in day to day life. There are good appliances here. Oven, fridge, dishwasher, all built in and easy to use. If you like making your own coffee in the morning, you can do that without tripping over things. The laundry room is just off to the side where it should be, not in the way. There is also a guest toilet which I always think is useful if people come by.
When we talk about Dubai Downtown living, honestly, this is what people mean. You can actually walk to the Dubai Mall if you want, it probably takes five minutes if you are not rushing. I've seen people heading there with shopping bags or even just out for a stroll. Burj Khalifa is so close you almost forget you are living right next to something so famous. Sometimes you will even hear the faint sound of the fountains in the evening if you open up the balcony door. Dubai Opera is right around the corner and if you are the sort who likes a show you will probably find yourself going more often than you expect.
The amenities are really thought out here. The pool is on a terrace up above the traffic and honestly you just feel like you are in another world for a bit. There's a proper gym with actual space to move around and it is not packed all the time. I saw a couple of people working out while I was there and it just looked easy. They have both indoor and outdoor play areas which is great if you have children or if family comes to visit. The barbecue spot is set up so you can actually use it and not feel like people are watching you from every angle.
One thing I like about this spot is how connected but also private it feels. You are in Downtown Dubai, close to all the restaurants and coffee shops. If you forget something at the grocery store it's not a big deal because the shops are nearby. In the evenings you will notice families out for a stroll and sometimes you see kids riding their bikes along the walkway. It is lively but never too much.
Sometimes reading about a place is not enough. The best way to know if an apartment like this two bedroom at BLVD Heights could work for you is just to visit.
