Rochester, Damac Hills
Some houses just have a way of settling you in as soon as you're through the door. That is exactly how it felt when I walked into this three bedroom townhouse in Rochester over at Damac Hills. You step in and right away the light pours in from these huge floor to ceiling windows in the living space. I actually stopped for a second to watch the sunlight move across the floor and for some reason it just made everything feel open and calm. The place is on a corner too, so you get that extra sense of space and even a bit more green outside which not every townhouse has.
Honestly, I think the way they have set up the downstairs works for real living. The kitchen is closed off, so if you actually like to cook things up and make a mess sometimes, no one has to see it from the sofa. It would be easy to see yourself actually preparing a family meal here, not just heating up takeaway. There is plenty of storage too, like someone finally thought about where things go when you walk in with shopping. There is even a guest bathroom for when friends drop by and a proper maid's room with its own bathroom that does not feel like anyone is being squeezed in. Upstairs you'll find three bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom and built in wardrobes. No one gets the short straw in this house. The bedrooms are bigger than you expect and I imagine on a weekend morning nobody is fighting for the shower.
What got me though was how the windows bring in that morning light upstairs too. You wake up and it is just bright but soft somehow. When you look outside you remember you are in Rochester which is probably one of the most peaceful corners in all of Damac Hills. Sometimes you even catch birds hopping around in the garden before the city wakes up.
Living here in Damac Hills, you kind of get the best mix of real community and things to do. The moment you drive in you see people walking dogs or jogging. The skate park is actually busy with kids most evenings. There are tennis courts and football fields for the ones who like to get out and move. And if golf's your thing, the Trump International Golf Course is just a short leafy stroll away. Even if it's not, the greens there are a nice backdrop. You do not really feel the buzz of the city when you are home which can be surprising if you are used to Dubai life. But still, groceries, cafes, and everything you actually need are close. The coffee shop is never more than a few minutes walk so mornings do not feel rushed or stressful. People wave hello and evenings are pretty peaceful. You will see a lot of bikes and strollers and sometimes you just realize life feels steady and slow here.
Now about the actual townhouse, it stands on a plot that gives you a nicer bit of garden than most and you can imagine family barbeques or just a quiet morning reading. The built up area is a comfortable size so even if you have kids with all their stuff or you like to host, it does not really feel cramped anywhere. The finishing is done in a way that is fresh but not over the top. It just feels easy. I pictured shoes by the door and just dropping onto the sofa after work.
This place is up for rent at one hundred ninety thousand dirhams which for Damac Hills and a townhouse like this honestly feels fair with everything included. Of course, it is always different seeing a place in photos or reading about it so the only way you'll know if it feels right is to come walk through and get a sense in person. Let me know if you want to pop by or if you just want to chat a little more about life in Rochester. At LuxuryProperty.com we really just want your next move to feel as comfortable and real as possible.
