Rochester, Damac Hills
Some places catch you off guard in a good way. This three bedroom townhouse in Rochester at Damac Hills kind of did that for me. It is not flashy when you walk up to it but once you step inside, you notice it just feels open and there is this peaceful air about it. Maybe it is the sense of space or the way the sunlight stretches across the big living area downstairs. People always say open plan but this one really works. You have one big space for living and dining. You can imagine friends coming over for a casual Saturday lunch or just those slower mornings where you actually read a bit at the table with a coffee. Some townhouses can feel dark in Dubai but honestly this one lets the light in from all angles. The windows actually make you want to pause and just stare out at the garden for a bit.
One thing I noticed straight away was the garden itself. It is not wild or overdone, just nicely landscaped. You could easily put a table out here or even let kids run about without worrying. And there is your own private swimming pool out the back. It is not for ten people at once, but for cooling off after a walk or getting in a swim early before work or even just sitting on the edge with a book, it just makes the outside almost as useful as the inside.
The kitchen sits off to one corner but it is not tucked away. It feels connected to the rest of the downstairs, which is nice if you actually use your kitchen. The appliances are there and there is good storage, but more importantly, it is the sort of space you would actually cook in. Sometimes you see kitchens in townhouses that look nice in photos but here it just makes sense. And if you have help at home, there is space for them too. There is even a proper maid's room with its own bathroom. Very practical.
A quick trip upstairs and you will find all three bedrooms, proper doubles, each with their own bathroom. That makes mornings much less hectic if there are a few of you. Two of the bedrooms have balconies that look over the greenery below. It is the kind of spot where you might have your evening tea or just sneak away with your phone and some fresh air. It is small things like that which make you feel at home. The main bedroom has enough space that it does not feel crammed even with a big bed. You almost want to just lie there on Sunday and listen to the city outside but not too close.
You have air conditioning of course, and it helps keep everything comfortable even on those hotter summer days. Downstairs there is a guest toilet too, so visitors are covered. And parking is right outside so you are not climbing stairs with your shopping. Everything feels easy here, that is the main thing.
Another thing about Rochester and Damac Hills in general, there is always something going on if you want to get out of the house. You are close to the Trump International Golf Club, and you will see plenty of greenery day to day with gardens and lakes all around. Fishing fans I have met here tell me they actually head out in the evenings for a quiet hour by the water. There are skate parks, football pitches and tennis courts which is great for the kids. Horses too, the stables are nearby and you do see the odd pony on the paths, which is not that common in Dubai really. When it comes to daily stuff, it is easy here. You have Carrefour Supermarket a short drive or even walk away if you are up for it. Kids studying at Jebel Ali School have an easy journey too. There is even a barbershop and a salon quite close so errands do not take your whole evening.
The monthly rent comes in at 250000 AED and for what you get, it feels about right in this market. Plot size is a comfortable two thousand seven hundred and twenty three square feet which is just enough room to not feel boxed in. The built up area is about two thousand four hundred so every bit counts. It is currently unfurnished so you can really make it your own space.
You can scroll through pictures all day but honestly the only way to know if it feels right is to see it in person. You are welcome to get in touch any time, even just for a quick walk through or to ask about the area. At LuxuryProperty.com, we just want to help make your next move feel as comfortable and stress free as it can.
