Marina Gate 2, Marina Gate, Dubai Marina
Sometimes you walk into a place and realize how rare it is to have so much open space with such a calm view right in the middle of the city. That is exactly how Marina Gate 2 feels to me and I get to see a lot of Dubai Marina apartments. This three bedroom corner apartment just makes you slow down a bit. Every room seems to pull your attention, not just because of the size but something about all that natural light. The first time I came here, I actually just stood by the living room window and watched as boats drifted by in the marina while the sea sparkled behind them. You can see the water from so many spots in this place. It honestly just makes making coffee in the morning a little bit special.
The finish throughout this apartment really is modern and fresh but it never feels too showy or overdone. It is unfurnished at the moment so if you have favorite furniture or a sofa passed down from family, it will not get lost here. Those high ceilings add a lot and the rooms are actually shaped in a way that makes moving around feel easy, not boxed in. You will also notice that the apartment sits in a corner so you get those wide open double views. I think it is the kind of place where if you work from home you will find yourself getting distracted by the scenery a lot which is not a bad thing honestly. And yes there are two parking spaces so if you have a second car or visitors you are all sorted.
I think one of the best parts about living at Marina Gate 2 is how much thought has gone into what happens outside your front door. The lobby just has this welcoming feel and actually I always notice the 24 hour security and concierge people seem to remember faces which is rare these days. There is a lounge downstairs, a real one where neighbors just sit and catch up. Sometimes you see people sitting with laptops or parents meeting after school runs. The infinity pool outside is properly temperature controlled so you do not have to think about whether it is too warm or too cold. It faces out towards the water so you really can swim and look at the boats. There is also a separate swimming pool for kids and a play area so if you have little ones they tend to make friends pretty quickly. Maybe that is why you notice parents spending time together near the pool on weekends.
If you like staying active the gym is a real one not that hotel type and it has plenty of equipment plus a sauna and steam room for when you want to just relax for a bit. You can play squash or paddle tennis in the building which is a lot more fun than it sounds even if you have never played before. You step outside and honestly you are right in the heart of Dubai Marina but because Marina Gate is a little set back you do not get as much traffic noise. There are plenty of coffee shops nearby and you sometimes see people grabbing a pastry and sitting out watching the world go by. Supermarkets are literally around the corner so running out of milk is not a stress. Families and young professionals both seem to fit in here which keeps things lively.
This part of Dubai Marina just makes daily life easy. Sometimes you forget your phone and just look out at the view. That is how you know it is working. Obviously every space is air conditioned but honestly because of the way the wind moves around the building it feels nice even when you open the windows just a little.
The only way to know if this three bedroom apartment at Marina Gate 2 is right for you is to come and see it.
