Rimal 2, Rimal, Jumeirah Beach Residence
Some places just make you feel at home before you've even closed the door all the way behind you. This one bedroom apartment in Rimal at Jumeirah Beach Residence does that, honestly. I stood in the entry for a bit the first time I saw it, just waiting for city sounds to fade and the sort of calm you only get by the water to settle in. Right off the bat, it feels open and easy, probably because the space is pretty generous for a one bedroom. There is over eleven hundred square feet to move around, which means you do not get that squeezed in apartment feeling at all.
The apartment is fully furnished. Not the forgettable type of furniture you sometimes find in rentals, but real pieces that feel inviting. The living room is one of those spots where you can actually imagine yourself sinking onto the sofa in the evening, maybe with a book or maybe watching the lights of the city outside. It connects easily with the kitchen. I like that the kitchen manages to be practical with enough room to cook—not just heat up takeout. A couple of stools by the counter and it suddenly feels like a natural place to chat while you cook or just lean with morning coffee.
You can tell the bedroom was set up for real living too. There is space for a generous bed, side tables, even a reading chair if you want. Sunlight comes in strong and then softens by the afternoon, which I just find relaxing. The bathroom is spotless and surprisingly spacious, more than enough room for the morning rush. Storage always matters and in this apartment, closets are deeper than you expect. No need to worry about where everything goes. That kind of detail makes day to day life easy.
From most windows, you catch some great views of Jumeirah Beach Residence and if you stand by the window for a moment, you find yourself watching the city carry on below while you get a sense that everything important is within reach. JBR Beach is maybe four minutes away on foot. I measured the walk myself and you get this lovely mix of families out for the day and people heading towards little beachside cafes. Evenings along the Marina Walk are something else entirely. The lights, the sound of the water, people out on their runs or just wandering quietly. And the best part is you do not have to deal with long car rides to get groceries or a quick meal. Malls and restaurants really are right there. I have seen neighbors stop by the bakery and wave at the barista because everyone's on a first name basis around here.
Rimal itself is a pretty solid community. The building feels well cared for and the lobby is always neat when I come by. Sometimes you see kids heading downstairs with their bikes, or you spot someone walking their dog at night. There is something comfortable about that. Plus, you are surrounded by some truly great hotels if you feel like treating yourself, from the Hilton to the Ritz Carlton. There are beach clubs too, and even if you just want a quiet weekend, no one looks twice if you stroll to the sand in your flip flops.
Getting around is simple. The tram and metro are just a really short walk away. I know people working in the city who leave their car covered for months because public transport makes the commute that easy.
The apartment is move in ready and honestly, just feels calm and cheerful. You might find yourself hanging out at home on weekends more than you expect.
Anyway, if the idea of a home that really lets you slow down and settle in appeals to you, I'd say come see it for yourself. Sometimes the right place just feels right.
