Marina Arcade Tower, Dubai Marina
Sometimes a place just makes you want to slow down and look around before anything else. That is what happened the first time I stepped into this one bedroom apartment at Marina Arcade Tower in Dubai Marina. You can feel it is peaceful the moment you walk in. Honestly I think it is that feeling of extra space you get here since one bedroom places do not always get so much room to breathe. This one is different with well over thirteen hundred square feet and it is all set out in a way that actually feels livable. You step into a living room where you almost want to just flop down for a second because the window seems to pull the light in from everywhere. I stood for a bit and just watched the sunlight bounce across the floor and over the furniture. You can see pretty far from up here too with views out toward Media City and even the greens of Emirates Golf Course on certain days. Once I caught a bit of sea air drifting in and you really do notice it makes the whole place feel fresher.
You have got that semi open kitchen space and it does not feel like it is shoved in a corner. The layout just flows so you can drop your bag by the door and then grab a quick snack or actually cook something without bumping elbows with anyone else. You will probably find yourself leaning on the counter just staring out at the city sometimes. Maybe you even get inspired to try one of those complicated morning omelette recipes which always seem impossible in smaller kitchens. This one just works for real life. The bedroom is properly thought out too. There is room to stretch out and you can really make it your own. It felt private. It is the sort of place you want to return to at the end of a long Dubai workday. I noticed the breeze there is different than the main room quieter maybe. Makes you want to take a nap or just scroll for a bit without actually falling asleep. There is enough storage too so you do not need to worry about cramped wardrobes or tripping over shoes.
The balconies surprised me in a good way. Not tiny at all. There is a bit of privacy but you also get broad views in all directions. You can just grab a coffee in the morning and people watch or talk with friends in the evening as the lights come on over Palm Jumeirah and Media City. Some evenings you will see the sky go from bright blue to that pinkish gold we get here and honestly you forget the city is buzzing all around you. Sometimes kids will be racing bikes at street level and you hear bits of laughter drifting up. It is just easy life here. The tower is always kept really clean and I noticed everyone you meet walking in the corridors has a wave or a nod. It feels like people actually live here not just stay for a while and move on.
Another thing I think actually matters here is how easy it is to get around. Being close to Sheikh Zayed Road at Interchange number five keeps things moving quick so you do not spend your life in jams. The metro is not far and neither is the tram. That means if you work in Media City or even downtown you are not wasting all your energy commuting. The local coffee shops are open early and there is a supermarket on your walk back from the building. Jumeirah Beach is a few minutes drive away so if you like a quick morning swim or an evening stroll you are sorted. I even spotted a couple of residents with shopping bags from the Mall and you get the sense everything really is just down the street.
The only real way to see if it fits you is to have a look around for yourself. I am always happy to answer questions or just walk you through so you know what it actually feels like here. At LuxuryProperty.com we keep things simple and relaxed. Drop me a note if you feel like a visit.
