Some places are just so easy to imagine yourself living in. This one bedroom apartment at Grandeur Residences on Palm Jumeirah kind of gave me that feeling. There is something about the morning sun pouring in through those floor to ceiling windows that makes you want to sit for a little while longer with your coffee and forget you ever hit snooze.

The place comes fully furnished which honestly feels like less stress from day one. All the furniture is already there just waiting for you. There is a built in wardrobe in the bedroom that actually fits more than just a few shirts and shoes plus a proper walk in closet so you are not fighting for hanger space. You can just settle in and not chase for odd pieces or worry about building flat pack furniture. I noticed the smart home switches on the wall the first time I was here. Little things like just pressing a button to set the mood lighting or get the cool air running makes you feel comfortably at home without even thinking. Those are the details that end up mattering.

Standing in the kitchen you get that feeling it could be a place for more than just a takeaway or microwave dinner. All the appliances are there including the one nobody likes to haul around which is the washer and dryer. The pool here stays a nice temperature which is a relief if you are someone who swims year round. You also have full access to the well equipped gym plus sauna and steam rooms for those days when you just need to zone out for an hour or two.

If you like working out or need some downtime there is a health club for both men and women, so that is sorted out too. Nearby there is a proper spa area which is a nice touch if you want a treat day or have friends visiting from out of town. Out front you get a wide open view of the sea and you do see people heading out for evening walks on the beach or just watching the sunset from the balcony. Sometimes there is a little breeze in the evenings that makes the whole Palm Jumeirah feel like a mini holiday town even if you are just coming home from work.

The children's play area is tucked out of the way but close enough you can keep an eye on things, and honestly, I have seen families here letting the little ones run around while they finish their coffee or chat with friends. Downstairs on the main level you have a bunch of dining choices. Some evenings you just want something simple but other times you look out and see everyone heading out and feel like joining the buzz. The restaurants here have you pretty much covered if you like to try new food or stick to the classics.

The beach is close enough that you can just leave your phone inside and head out barefoot, which is kind of rare around Dubai. Plus the way the apartments are spaced out you do not feel right on top of your neighbors. The vibe in this part of Palm Jumeirah is chilled out and you see locals and newer residents mixing all the time which just makes it friendly.
