East 40, Al Furjan
Some places just seem to let you relax right away and this one bedroom apartment in East 40 really has that quality. When I walked in, I actually paused for a second because the space just felt open without being too much. The morning light comes through those windows and hits the living room in a way that makes you want to put down your bag and just settle in for a bit.
East 40 in Al Furjan gets talked about quite a bit among people looking to rent in Dubai who want easy connections but not the intensity of being directly in the city center. Here, you are honestly pretty close to everything you need. The Sheikh Zayed Road is nearby so the drive to pretty much anywhere is smooth and the metro station is not far which changes your work week if you commute. What I liked is that you get those little pauses you do not expect in Dubai. You look out from the private balcony and sometimes the afternoon is so quiet you can hear the breeze. Other times there are a few families heading down to the little markets or you see neighbors having coffee together outside. There is a real sense of people living here not just passing through.
You have got about 690 square feet in this apartment and it feels well thought out. The bedroom is genuinely bright even before you turn on any lights. The built in wardrobes surprised meโthey are not an afterthought and you actually have space for more than a few things. If you like leaving your window open just a hint in the cooler months you get a nice bit of air moving through especially on the higher floors.
The kitchen is semi open and it actually feels like somewhere you would want to cook. There is enough cabinetry and the layout makes sense if you have ever found yourself hunting for a spot to put your groceries or set down your coffee cup. Even if you do not really cook much it is just nice having a real space that does not feel cramped. Plus having the dining area flowing right from the kitchen makes it easy when you have a friend over or just want to order something in and set the table.
People always ask about comfort and in this place you get central air conditioning that just works. Nothing fancy or fussy. The flooring feels cool underfoot and honestly I could see myself walking around barefoot most of the time. Year round you have a good temperature which in Dubai is one of those things you notice after the first summer.
Security is a big thing for lots of people and here you have controlled access. The staff is around but not in your face. There is a sense that things are managed well and that adds to the whole feeling of ease. Even late at night you feel safe walking through the building and the lobby area is clean but does not feel too formal.
Nearby, you really are spoiled for choice with supermarkets and coffee shops and even a couple of great hidden cafes if you explore a little. Whether you work up in Jebel Ali or find yourself heading into Dubai Marina or towards Downtown you do not spend much of your day stuck in traffic. Al Furjan has its own laid back community vibe. Sometimes you see kids riding their bikes or neighbors lingering after dark on their way home from dinner.
If you are looking for an unfurnished one bedroom apartment to rent in Al Furjan and it matters to be close to everything but have a calm home to come back to this spot in East 40 is honestly worth a look. The best way to know if it feels right is to come and see it in person. If you want to know more or just want to walk around the place I am always here to help. At LuxuryProperty.com we really do want moving to feel easy for you.
