Residences 30, District One, Mohammed Bin Rashid City
Some places just have an easy feeling the moment you walk in. This one bedroom apartment at Residences 30 in District One Mohammed Bin Rashid City really does that. I took a seat by the window for a while and noticed that even though you are not far from the energy of the city the view of the lagoon feels so peaceful you almost forget you are so close to downtown Dubai. It is quiet up here. There is just a softness about this spot that makes time slow down a little.
Honestly the apartment has a simple clever layout that just works. You come in and right away you can see it is more spacious than a lot of one bedroom places out there. Nearly 800 square feet is a good amount and it feels bigger once you are actually inside. The marble finishes are real ones not just shiny tiles pretending they are marble. Run your hand along the countertop and you will probably think the same it feels cool and surprisingly smooth. I caught myself opening and closing the wardrobe doors a few times because the storage is generous there are no tight corners or odd shaped shelves just proper space for clothes and shoes and a suitcase too. The bedroom itself sits off to one side giving some privacy even with guests around and it is actually bigger than the pictures suggest. You could tuck in a little reading chair by the window or just have extra room beside the bed.
The kitchen surprised me as well. A lot of city apartments put in a kitchen that feels like an afterthought but this one feels like somewhere you would actually want to cook. The appliances are modern and tucked away neatly and there is plenty of counter space if you want to spread out with a few ingredients. I could easily imagine making breakfast here on a slow Friday morning or having a couple friends over for dinner and just keeping the conversation going while someone is slicing vegetables. Plus the guest bathroom is handy no one needs to walk through your bedroom to freshen up.
There is something about being in District One that people really love and I get it. When I visited Residences 30 you could hear the sound of birds in the afternoon and see an older couple jogging by the lagoon sometimes families walk or bike together near sunset. Even though it is close to Dubai Mall and Business Bay and everything else you might want it just does not feel hectic. There is a little coffee shop about a five minute stroll away and the supermarket is convenient enough to pop down for last minute things. Green spaces are everywhere here not just patches of grass but actual parks where people sit and unwind. You feel like you are living somewhere with balance. It is a quieter part of the city but everything is nearby if you want to step out for dinner or get to work.
Something else you might notice is the building itself has a really calm feel. There is no rush in the lobby no noise drifting up in the evenings and residents seem to respect the peacefulness. It is fully furnished so you do not need to worry about finding a sofa that fits or buying a bed on your first night. I always think that is a relief especially if you want to move in quickly or spend more time just getting to know the neighborhood.
Even with all of that the price is actually fair compared to others in this area for this kind of view. The best thing is it is vacant now so you can really make it your place soon. Sometimes it is just about seeing if a home feels right when you are there in person. If you are curious or have questions or just want to walk through with no pressure let me know. At LuxuryProperty.com we are always happy to help you find a place that actually makes sense for you. Come take a look when you are ready.
