There is a certain calm that comes over you when you walk into this one bedroom apartment at Residences 30 in Mohammed Bin Rashid City. I remember standing there for a second just watching the light drift across the floor and you sort of feel separated from the busy city outside. Even though the place is close to Downtown Dubai and all the action whenever you want it the mood inside is always peaceful and honestly that is not something you find every day.

The first thing you will see is the way the room opens up. The layout really makes the most of the space. I have seen places this size feel cramped but here you can move easily. Some spots just make you want to drop your bag and breathe out. And when you look out the window it is all green and blue with that lagoon view right in front of you. Sounds simple but after a long day there is nothing quite like sitting down with that kind of view.

You will see kids sometimes running around and families out for evening walks along the water. And the best thing is even though you are in a quiet spot everything is kind of close. It never feels like you are far from a good coffee shop or a handy supermarket and if you want to go out Downtown is just a short drive. If you work in the city or just like to pop in for dinner it is easy from here.

The community itself has a slower pace than some of the other spots in Dubai but you still get all the comforts. Landscaped walkways for when you feel like being outside. The lagoon which is perfect for morning runs or just to clear your head. Safety is never something you need to think about. A lot of people here know their neighbours and you see familiar faces often. There are lots of places that claim to offer a luxury lifestyle but this part of District One really means it is all about comfort and peace more than anything.

Even on days when you just want to do nothing it feels like a good place to unwind. Sometimes I just stood for a bit by the window and watched the birds outside. If you like to cook or entertain or just want a quiet retreat from the city this apartment does all of that without trying too hard. It just feels easy.
