Building 20, City Walk
Some homes you walk into and kind of smile for no real reason. This one bedroom apartment in Building 20 at City Walk works like that. Something about the way the light comes in just feels calming. I let myself stand in the living room for a second longer than usual, and it honestly feels like a place where you could come back after work and just breathe out for a bit.
Right away you'll notice the amount of sunshine coming through the big windows. The living and dining room feels open. Not that empty open feeling, but more like everything has space to settle. Even on a busy day the apartment has a quiet sort of energy, which is tough to get right in a city like Dubai. The views then sort of slow you down, too. You get a glimpse of the pool and some of the trees and sometimes if you look close you'll see a few birds flying by. I always find places with a pool view just seem to feel more relaxed. You can even hear a bit of that stillness when the windows are open.
The kitchen is one of my favorite parts. It just actually feels like somewhere you'd want to cook in. There is nothing stuffy about it. The cabinets are sleek, but not flashy, and all the appliances are quality. Honestly, you could cook a proper meal here rather than just heating up takeaway, which I know is rare in some apartments. You could chat with someone sitting at the table or just enjoy an early morning coffee in peace. The way the kitchen connects with the rest of the living area makes everything feel sort of easy. If you have friends over for dinner, they won't be far from the kitchen, so everything just blends together without any fuss.
When you step into the bedroom, it feels private without being closed off. There is plenty of room for a big bed and a little reading chair if you want one. The built in wardrobes are bigger than you might expect, and to me that's pretty useful because storage is always an issue in apartments. You can keep clothes, bags, even a suitcase and still have enough hanging space. The bathroom is finished well. It's got that hotel vibe without trying too hard. The fittings are simple but solid, good for someone who actually uses their place. And with it being unfurnished, you get a blank canvas. You can decide if you want things minimalist, cozy, full of color, anything really. There is something quite exciting about starting with a space that is ready for your own touch.
City Walk as a community is way more social and alive than you might think. When I walked outside, I saw people jogging, some just chatting on the benches, and a few kids biking even late in the evening. The coffee shops are always just around the corner. Which is pretty amazing if you like to start your day with something made fresh. There are boutique stores for just browsing on a Sunday and loads of new restaurants opening up all the time. If you're into fitness, the gym is close and well stocked which honestly takes away excuses for skipping a workout. The pool looks even better in person. Imagine an early weekend swim with the city waking up around you. Green spaces are tucked in everywhere so when you need a break or want to read outside there's always a bench in the sun waiting.
In Dubai, having a place in City Walk means you are never far from anything. Whether you work in Downtown or just like being able to walk to dinner, it all just fits together. Even parking isn't a hassle here, which is honestly rare. This apartment is a good one for someone who wants comfort but still loves the energy of urban living.
The only way to see if the home really fits is to come for a visit. If you want to know more or just have a walk through Building 20, let me know anytime. At LuxuryProperty.com, we like to make things as simple and relaxed as possible.
