BLVD Heights Tower 2, BLVD Heights, Downtown Dubai
Sometimes places just feel like home before you even remember you are looking at real estate. This one bedroom apartment in BLVD Heights Downtown Dubai did that for me. It is funny how quickly you forget the city is buzzing right below you. I found myself just leaning out on the balcony, letting the air cool me down and looking down at Business Bay and the pool below. You really do get some nice light up here in the late afternoon. And somehow things just quiet down when you are above the noise.
Walking in, it feels open and relaxed. The living and dining area just blend into each other, no stiff corners or awkward spots, and the kitchen joins in with that easy semi closed set up. I always pay attention to kitchens. For me, it should feel like you can actually cook something real. This one is tidy and practical, stocked with all the white goods you need from the big fridge to a dishwasher. You will find a microwave and an oven as well but nothing feels overstuffed or hard to use. If you are someone who likes making breakfast or having a friend over for coffee this space will feel right. The table is just the right size honestly and the main living space has these two soft sofas that make you want to stay in a little longer with your morning coffee. There is a big TV too but I think you will end up drifting out towards the balcony more often.
That balcony is a bit of a highlight for me. It is big and it actually connects both the living room and the bedroom. I found myself picturing a small chair out here for morning sun or maybe some plants if you are into that. The view is more than just city lights. You see out over Business Bay and if you look down you spot the pool. Sometimes you see people down there swimming early or families heading to the barbecue spots. Evenings must be something up here.
Bedroom wise, it is comfortable and it is got all you need. A good double size bed built in wardrobes so you have space for real living not just suitcases and a bathroom that actually feels spacious. You will appreciate that the bathroom has a deep bathtub. Not all city apartments bother with that. Sometimes you can just soak and let the world go on. The en suite makes it private and it is finished nicely but not in a show off way.
BLVD Heights itself has this grown up vibe. The lobby is calm when you come in and there are two receptions so someone is always there. Concierge is helpful but not in your face. And the amenities actually get used. You spot people swimming all the time on the podium level since there are two pools including one for kids. If you have children or friends with kids you will notice the indoor and outdoor play areas. Even the barbecue areas get that buzz in the evenings. The gym just feels easy to use. No need to drive anywhere everything you need for everyday living is right here.
Location is the thing that stands out most. You step out the door and you are right on the Boulevard. The Opera District is just opposite which means shows and music whenever you feel like. I walked to Dubai Mall in about ten minutes. The fountains are there too not to mention just about every dining spot downtown has to offer. Coffee shops stay open late and I noticed people still out for walks after dark. Downtown Dubai has this energy that makes you want to be part of it but when you are home it feels private.
I really think you need to walk through this apartment to know if it is right for you. Sometimes the real thing just feels different than a photo online.
