Royal Continental Suites, Business Bay
Sometimes you step into a place and it just feels like it should be yours. That is honestly what crossed my mind the first time I walked through this two bedroom apartment at Royal Continental Suites in Business Bay. Light spills in from the windows and you get this instant sense of space which, for the centre of Dubai, is something not easy to find. If you stand near the living room window for even a second, Burj Khalifa is right there in front of you and the Dubai Canal just sort of stretches out beside it. It kind of makes you pause. I ended up spending longer by the glass than I'd meant to, partly watching people outside and partly thinking about how much city living has to offer when you are this close to everything.
The apartment is vacant now so you do not have to worry about waiting for someone else to finish packing boxes. Walking around, it is obvious the rooms are well planned out. Some places feel cramped or like someone just threw up some walls to tick a box on a blueprint, but not here. The bedrooms are a decent size and there is a kind of calm about them. No clutter, just open space that makes it easy to imagine setting up life the way you like it. It is worth saying that the apartment is unfurnished so you can put your spin on it from the first day. If you have your own favourite thingsโcouches, bookshelves, even that old armchairโthere is room for them. The floors and finishes are modern but not too precious, which honestly makes it feel like a home and not just another city apartment.
I have to mention the kitchen because a lot of places call their kitchens stylish but you walk in and you do not really want to cook there. Here, it actually feels like a place you might chop onions and not just heat up takeaway. I ran my hand along the counter and even the little details like the fittings and lighting make it feel comfortable to use in the everyday way. People sometimes overlook these simple things, but they matter, especially if you like to actually make your own food or entertain a friend or two after work.
Business Bay itself is busy, always moving, but the odd thing is when you are up here it is pretty quiet. You get the energy of Downtown Dubai without the constant rush outside your door. You can walk to a coffee shop in a few minutes or if you work nearby it is really hard to beat this location. The best thing is you do not have to drive miles to find groceries, a good place for breakfast, or a late night snack. Some evenings you will see kids scooting along the canal paths and if you want a longer stroll, the water always brings a bit of calm.
And you also get those extras everyone talks about but here they actually add value. The swimming pool is temperature controlled so you can jump in even in summer. There is a fitness centre and it is not one of those tiny ones with two machines and nowhere to stretch. I poked my head in and it just feels like somewhere you could actually keep up with a routine, not just pretend you will.
All the bills are included with this apartment, which is kind of a relief. It takes that bit of stress out of the month and honestly just makes life easier. Plus it is serviced, so you do not have to worry if the place is tidy when you get back after a long week. Someone always has an eye on things.
At the end of it all, I think you can only know if this place fits you by coming to see it for yourself. Happy to answer your questions or just meet for a walk through. At LuxuryProperty.com, we try to make finding your next Dubai home as simple and comfortable as possible.
