Balqis Residence 2, Kingdom of Sheba, Palm Jumeirah
Some homes on Palm Jumeirah just seem to ask you to slow down for a minute. When I walked into this two bedroom apartment at Kingdom of Sheba, that happened right away. You step through the door and there is this big stretch of the Arabian Gulf staring back at you through the windows. Light comes in everywhere and to be honest I found myself just watching the waves, not thinking about anything for a bit. That is the kind of feeling you only really get when you are right on the water. It is different from anywhere else in the city.
Space in here just feels easy. The apartment is spread out over one thousand nine hundred square feet, which means you never feel boxed in even with friends over. Whether you are in the main living room or standing by the open kitchen, you almost always catch those sea views. Sometimes the sky is bright blue and sometimes it is all soft and grey. Each time you look you get something a little different. I stood by the window for a bit, and the only sound was the water rolling up on the sand. If you like things peaceful you will feel it straight away.
If you actually like to cook, the kitchen here feels like somewhere you will want to make a meal rather than just order in. There is lots of storage and all the appliances you would hope for. The dining table sits close by the kitchen but you might find yourself setting up breakfast near the big windows instead. It is that kind of place. A friend asked about the bedrooms and honestly, they both feel like proper places to rest. The main bedroom is bigger than expected. When you wake up in here, the first thing you see is the Gulf and not much else unless a boat glides by.
The maid's room is a real bonus, especially if you need a little extra storage or a study to work from home. What also stood out is how clean and simple the finishes are. Nothing feels too busy or done up. It is more about the light and the view and the space you get.
Now, about the lifestyle here at Kingdom of Sheba on Palm Jumeirah. Direct beach access is probably the best part. While I was at the building, I just walked straight onto the sand. No lines or crowds. In the morning you will see a few people jogging or having a quiet coffee by the waves. At the end of the day, it clears out and sometimes you almost get the beach to yourself. There is a temperature controlled pool that keeps things perfect even when the sun is blazing and the gym is honestly better than you might expect in an apartment building. Real equipment, always neat. If you are into wellness, you will love being able to get a workout done with that sea breeze around. The gardens are all well kept too so you notice flowers and birds on the way in. If you have kids, there is always some space for them to just run on the grass or scoot down to the sand.
The location is really practical for Dubai as well. You are right on the west crescent of Palm Jumeirah so if you need to be downtown or in the Marina it is a straight drive. Some shops nearby mean the basics are never far and there are always little cafes if you want something easy on a weekend. It just feels like its own small community where things work simply.
You can hear about beachfront living in Dubai but you only really feel it when you are standing here with the doors open. The best way to know if this two bedroom apartment at Kingdom of Sheba is the right fit is to come see it in person.
