Sunrise Bay, Emaar Beachfront, Dubai Harbour
Some places just put you at ease even when you have only taken a few steps inside. This two bedroom apartment at Emaar Beachfront in Dubai Harbour is definitely one of those. When I first walked in I just had to pause and let in the way the light comes through these big windows. It did not feel like your regular city apartment. Actually I think the best word for it is peaceful.
The first thing you notice is how much natural sunlight is bouncing off the walls. You stand in the living room and you can almost see every inch of Dubai Harbour right out beyond the window. If you look closely you can see little boats drifting slowly in the distance and sometimes you catch seagulls flying so close it feels like you could almost reach out and touch them. The views will grab you right away but what really gets you is how quiet and calm everything feels even though you are still so close to the buzz of Dubai. Emaar Beachfront is famous for that by the way. You are so close to Downtown Dubai if you want restaurants or shopping but the moment you are back here it is like the city is a thousand miles away.
The apartment itself just feels easy. Two good sized bedrooms that are private enough you can work or nap without being distracted by what is going on in the living space or kitchen. I checked out the bedrooms and honestly these are rooms that you want to wake up in. Nothing is cramped. You have space to breathe and real windows that let in light instead of just a sliver. The finishes in both bedrooms are quality but never flashy. You will notice little details in the fittings and closet spaces every time you come in. One thing I like is that it is unfurnished because you can really make it your own. Keep it simple or bring in your own sense of style.
Now the kitchen is not some showpiece that looks good in photos but never gets used. It is right there where you can actually imagine making a coffee in the early morning and just standing by the counter watching the water outside. I could see someone spending Sunday afternoons cooking something a bit special or just grabbing takeaway and sitting at the table chatting for hours. It is not forced luxury. It just feels like life happens easily here.
One thing about Emaar Beachfront and Dubai Harbour is that you get this real sense of community but without the whole city-in-your-face thing. I noticed people just walking out with towels under their arms heading for a swim or even folks who have their morning runs along the private stretch of sand. If you want to clear your head after a day at work you can take a quiet stroll on the beach or find a corner at one of the local cafes that never feels rushed. Plus the gym is right there and you never really have to wait for a spot. That matters more than some people think.
Weekends are just easy. Sometimes you see families heading out to the pool or kids biking on the paths. Every now and then you catch small groups gathered for sunset drinks on their balconies. That laid back vibe is rare in Dubai but it just fits here at Emaar Beachfront.
The apartment is available for rent now for two hundred and fifty thousand AED. It gives you a full one thousand two hundred thirty square feet of good space to make your own. If you want to live in Dubai Harbour but still feel like you have some breathing room then this is one to check out.
In the end you only know if it is right when you see it in person. I think you get a better feel for a home when you walk around, peek in the rooms, and stand by the windows for a bit.
