Burj Vista 1, Burj Vista, Downtown Dubai
Some spaces just have a way of making you feel a bit calmer right away. That is definitely what happened to me when I walked into this two bedroom apartment at Burj Vista in Downtown Dubai. It is high up so the first thing you notice is the sense of light and air. You almost want to head right across the living room to the big glass doors and just linger for a while on that balcony. The city is right there in front of you but you are above it all. Some mornings you could probably watch the fog roll over Downtown and see the Burj Khalifa catch the first bit of sun. Evenings are something else entirely with those bright city lights underneath and the skyline just stretching out in front of you.
The apartment itself is actually unfurnished so there is a lot of freedom here. You know how sometimes a furnished place can feel like someone else's idea of home. Not here. You can literally walk around and picture your own sofa facing those windows maybe a reading chair in the corner. The built up area is about 1391 square feet so it never feels cramped honestly it feels pretty open everywhere. The kitchen is the type that you actually might want to use imagine making a proper dinner with groceries from Waitrose at The Dubai Mall which is right around the corner. Cooking here does not feel like an afterthought.
Two bedrooms but they are both decent in size. The master suite is one that you will probably want to spend a little extra time in. Waking up here you will catch those views before you even pick up your phone. There is an attached bathroom that does not try to show off but works really well and finishes that feel solid. You will also find enough wardrobe space so you actually can move in without worrying about where to fit things. The second bedroom is plenty for a guest or maybe an office if you work from home. Because it is unfurnished there is room for your own style.
The building itself knows what it is doing. Burj Vista feels like a place that is built for people who do not want the hassle that sometimes comes with city living. You get access to a gym that people actually use with equipment that looks pretty new. The pool is set in a green area where you might sit on weekends sometimes with a book or just to get some sun. There is a kids' play zone too and you do see families here both locals and expats. It is a pretty social community but private at the same time.
Being in Downtown Dubai you are steps from everything. Coffee runs to % Arabica feel lazy since it is close by and if you like culture Dubai Opera is just down the street. The Dubai Mall is always open and honestly even if you do not need to shop you sometimes end up wandering through it on a hot afternoon just for the air conditioning and people watching. On Fridays you will notice the street gets busy but you are tucked away enough not to feel rushed. Occasionally you will spot couples heading out dressed up for dinner or kids on little bikes near the fountains. Community here is a mix and you feel it.
Honestly at 225000 AED a year it is not for everyone but for what you get in Burj Vista location privacy views and real space it just makes sense for someone who wants city living without giving up comfort. The photos do not really let you feel what it is like up here but I tried to capture a little of what you notice when you visit.
If you are thinking about actually living in Downtown or just want to see what it is like to stand on that balcony and look out at the city reach out. The best way to know if it feels right is to walk through for yourself. If you have questions or just want to take a look give me a shout any time.
