Burj Khalifa Zone 2B, Burj Khalifa Area, Downtown Dubai
Some spaces make you pause, even when you thought you were in a hurry. Walking into this one bedroom apartment up on one of the higher floors of the Burj Khalifa, I caught myself just standing there by the window for a while watching the fountains play down below. It's quieter than you'd expect right at the center of Downtown Dubai but it feels a bit like you've stepped into your own peaceful hideout, floating above the city. Honestly it's the kind of place where you only remember you're in the world's tallest building when you look out at that view or find yourself walking into the lift lobby with those polished floors echoing under your feet.
The living area is bigger than a lot of one bedrooms you find in Downtown Dubai and it isn't just about size. You've got that wall of glass bringing the light right in, so the room has this gentle glow no matter if it's morning or evening. I sat for a second imagining how it'd feel to just crack open a book or have a slow breakfast while the city wakes up outside. The kitchen here doesn't scream for attention but it's got everything you actually need. Nothing feels cramped or awkward. Cabinets close softly. The appliances are all tucked in like they belong there. A friend of mine who actually loves to cook would find it easy to make real meals here not just reheat or order in again.
The bedroom honestly surprised me with how calming it feels. You know how some city apartments make you feel boxed in even with the best intentions. Here, you'll find real space to move and a big window to let you watch the light change throughout the day. It's one of those rooms where you could end up hitting snooze a few times because the quiet just swallows up the noise of the city. There's more storage than you expect too so if you're the kind of person who doesn't want to live out of boxes or suitcases it just feels sorted already.
Bathrooms are always a make or break for me and this one really is spot on. Clean without feeling cold. Tiles that are easy on the feet when you're just out of the shower. Good mirrors and lighting mean you can get ready without fuss. Even the little details like a towel rail in the spot you'd want one. The hot water comes on right away by the way. I tried it. Sometimes it's these small things that make day to day life feel easy.
If you're thinking about what else you get with living right here in Burj Khalifa, it's a lot. You've got swimming pools both inside and outside. I peeked into the gym too and you'll want to use it. Big windows. The kind of space where it almost feels like exercise might actually be fun a few days a week. There's a library which is nice if you ever just want to be somewhere quiet or meet a neighbor for a coffee. The residents' lounge surprised me a bit. You'll see people working on laptops or just chatting. It has that little hum that makes a place feel lived in not just a hotel. So many services in the tower mean life is pretty smooth here. If you ever come back late or just don't want to think about anything there's always someone at the desk or helping with the car.
One thing you'll really feel living here is the convenience. Walk down and in a few minutes you're at The Dubai Mall. The Souk Al Bahar is over the bridge for a quick meal or coffee. Late at night the fountains are still dancing. You don't have to get in a car for most of the best things in town and there's always a little crowd of people but somehow it never really gets in your way. Sometimes you just look outside and realize you're at the very heart of everything and still have your own space.
The only way to know if this apartment is right for you is to see it and feel it for yourself. I'd be happy to walk you through or answer anything you're unsure about. At LuxuryProperty com we want your next move to feel as comfortable as possible. Whenever you're ready just let me know.
