Yansoon 7, Yansoon, Old Town
Some places in Dubai instantly slow you down right when you walk through the door. This two bedroom apartment at Yansoon in Old Town does that for me. It is right in the heart of Downtown but actually feels worlds away from all the busyness—honestly, you look outside the big floor to ceiling windows and all you see is soft green from the trees. You get this calming sense that comes with natural light everywhere, and there is so much light here all day. I remember standing in the living area and thinking you could put down your phone, make a cup of tea, and just watch the city from a quiet spot.
The living and dining area is so open and spacious, the sunlight just pours in and bounces off the brand new creamy sofas and the dining table that feels made for real dinners, not just takeout. The kitchen is just off to the side, tucked in but big enough to actually cook—not one of those tiny kitchens that are all looks and nowhere to put things. There are proper built in appliances and more storage than you think when you first walk in. You could really see yourself making breakfast with the windows cracked and the birds out in the trees below.
Honestly, the best bit for me is the balcony. It is bigger than you expect and totally private, wrapped by mature bushes and old trees so you are in your own little green pocket. I can imagine mornings with coffee out there, or long evenings watching the sun go down behind Burj Khalifa and the city lights starting to come up. The Dubai Fountain is right there too—you just catch a glimmer between the leaves and you can even hear the music if you open the balcony doors all the way. It feels so restful you almost forget you are in Downtown.
You also get full access to a proper pool to cool off when it gets hot, and a gym downstairs if you like to start the day with a workout. There is even a spa for when you want to switch off. Plus covered parking is sorted, so no need to worry about the car ever overheating. The building is chiller free, which is just less hassle every month. Security is always around, but it feels relaxed and not intrusive. That is the thing about Old Town, you see kids and families from the community going about their day, stopping at the bakery downstairs, or heading to Souk Al Bahar or The Dubai Mall for groceries or a movie. You are right in the thick of the best bits of Dubai, with the iconic fountains and a dozen restaurants and cafes within a short stroll. But it is never too noisy or hectic, which surprised me the first time I visited.
The bedrooms are both large and bright, with views that make you want to open the curtains first thing in the morning just to see how the day is starting. Solid wardrobes with loads of space for all your stuff. Everything here is upgraded and feels new, but you still get touches that make it homely—soft lighting, calming colors, nothing over the top.
It is vacant and ready, so you can move in right away if you fall for it. Some places need a bit of imagination or work to see yourself living there, this apartment just feels easy from the start. Really, the only way to know if it suits you is to come and have a look for yourself. If you have questions, or just want to walk around and see how it feels, you can reach out whenever. At LuxuryProperty.com, we just want your next place to feel right for you, not rushed or pushed. That is the honest truth.
