I stepped in and for a second just did nothing at all except listen to how quiet it felt. The way the light comes through the windows here makes everything feel softer. Sometimes you get places that look modern in the photos but up close they are cold. This one really is modern and quite warm at the same time which is rare. 

You have these big floor to ceiling windows and, I promise, they are not just for show. I stood by the glass yesterday and watched the waves roll in with Ain Dubai standing right out there and it struck me how clear the view gets on some afternoons. Inside, everything is done up just the right amount. You can tell there are good solid materials everywhere you look like the wood on the floors feels clean but not slippery. Little details like the soft metallic handles in the kitchen and the Italian taps in the bathrooms pop up if you pay attention while you walk through. The owner did not go over the top with the furniture which makes it easy for you to picture your own things here or just keep what is already set up. All the appliances are new and I do not think anyone has ever actually used the oven for more than cookies. The kitchen itself feels like one you could cook in and not just heat takeout. Lots of space between the counters and enough cupboards that you could completely hide away all the boring things like recycling bins and cleaning stuff. 

The bedroom has this calm feel and, when the windows are cracked just a little, you catch the faint sound of water and birds especially early in the morning. Storage is sorted because the wardrobes are proper built-ins, not just some cheap unit pushed against the wall like you sometimes see. The bathrooms are exactly what you hope for in a newer place based on Bluewaters. Italian fixtures and finishing, and actually enough room to stretch out. One thing I noticed standing by the sink is the mirrors do not fog up instantly when you take a hot shower which is just nice for once. 

Living here is less like being in the heart of a huge city and more like being on a getaway. When you walk outside the building, it is very obvious you are on an island. The air honestly just feels different. I grabbed a coffee from one of the shops downstairs and watched families heading out towards the boardwalk which wraps all the way around Ain Dubai. It is rare that a place feels close to everything but also tucked away from the main rush. You are maybe a few minutes from JBR and Dubai Marina but once you cross that pedestrian bridge or drop off the island in a cab, it is like flipping a switch. Even getting in and out is smooth which you will totally appreciate after a long work day. 

I love that you have a swimming pool pointing directly towards the ocean and it is far enough away that the noise does not carry but you can still see all the action. People do actually use the pool throughout the week so it never feels empty or too crowded. There is reserved parking and it has always been open when I visited. Bluewaters is changing a lot these days but it keeps a relaxed vibe. Sometimes you see kids on bikes or people walking their dogs around sunset. There are over one hundred different places to eat or grab a drink without even leaving the island which makes life feel pretty easy. You will not run out of good pizza or sushi options for sure.
