Some homes just have a certain way about them the second you walk up the path. Villa Bellevue Atlantique in Harhoura, right on the beach and so close to Rabat that you could drive in for lunch, really gives you that feeling. The property has a certain peace from the very start. The Royal Palace of Sheikh Zayed is just next door so the tranquillity almost feels built in and the sense of safety is probably something you don&#039;t even think about after the first day. Honestly, when I first stepped inside I just lingered a while in the entryway. There is this long tree lined drive that makes it feel almost like a movie. The guards cottage at the entrance is real and not just for show. It sets the tone: secure and private. And there is something about those tall trees that filters out the outside world. It gets quiet. Really quiet in the best way. If you like open spaces, there is plenty of room to breathe here. The villa itself sits on a plot that is just under 50000 square feet so you are not going to feel hemmed in. Most people first notice that view. The sea really does spread out right in front of the house and you can just stop and watch the waves for a while. The garden helps with that sense of calm. It is actually a proper garden with winding green areas and even a small house where the gardener lives full time so the flowers do not get forgotten. I stood out there for a bit one afternoon and you could hear the sea breeze move through the trees. Sometimes you hear kids riding their bikes past on the way to the beach and it all just feels easy. Inside, the space opens up across three levels. There are four bedrooms in the main house and the master suite is huge. You actually live in it, not just sleep there at night. The views from the master take in both the garden and the ocean which is something you almost have to see yourself to really get. The living spaces feel bright and open but not cold. Sometimes villas this big can feel a bit echoey but this one really does not. Maybe it is all the natural light or maybe it is just the way the rooms keep flowing together. The elevator helps when you do not feel like taking the stairs especially if you just want to carry your coffee from the kitchen up to read in one of the upstairs sitting areas. Speaking of kitchens this has two. The main kitchen actually feels like somewhere you would probably make real meals in and not just open a takeaway box. Plus for guests there is a self contained guest house on the grounds with a bedroom its own full bathroom and even a small living room and separate terrace. It is ideal if you want family or friends to have their own space. Or sometimes you just want to retreat there yourself. A few things that might not show up in the photos but are worth knowing the indoor pool is perfect when the weather turns since the sea breeze can get crisp in winter. There is an outdoor pool too where you can really soak up those beach views. Even the carpark is thought out with three cars under cover so nobody climbs into a hot seat in the summer and enough space on the side so guests do not have to fight for a spot. The community around Harhoura is relaxed and local. Morning walks on the sand are not just for postcards. You actually see neighbors out waving to each other with a cup of coffee and it makes everything feel a little bit friendlier. Rabat is close enough that you get the best of both worlds with city energy if you need it and surf sounds when you do not. There is a lot you can read or scroll through online but really the only way to know if Villa Bellevue Atlantique feels right for you is to come and walk around.
