Casa Viva, Serena
Some homes just have a certain feeling as soon as you come through the front door. This two bedroom townhouse in Casa Viva at Serena does that for me. There is something peaceful about the way the quiet neighbourhood gently wraps around the house itself. I stopped for a second on the porch the last time I visited, listening to the sound of birds in the late morning. It is easy to imagine mornings starting slow here, coffee in hand, stepping out into the sun before work.
Casa Viva in Serena is really growing into one of those communities folks gravitate to if they want calm without being miles away from everything. If you have not walked around this corner of Dubailand yet, you will see what I mean. The houses have that Mediterranean look, with tiled roofs and touches that actually look lived in instead of polished up just for show. There are these casual pops of color mixed in with soft tones, so even in the midday light nothing feels harsh. Inside, you get a pretty generous foyer, the kind that can actually handle a dropped gym bag or two. The main living area has enough space for a proper sofa and a dining table. It is open plan, but not so open that you lose that sense of rooms having their own feeling.
The kitchen is modern enough for a real cook but still cozy. I remember running my hand along the granite counter. You can picture a proper family lunch being cooked here, not just someone living off takeaway. And you have these rich wood cupboards that give a warmth you do not get in new builds where everything is too shiny or white. One of my favorite bits is actually the little Spanish style guest bathroom downstairs. It is stylish but somehow still friendly. If you are someone who likes everything to have its place, you have storage tucked away off to the side, plus a laundry room so clutter never makes it past the hall.
Upstairs, the bedrooms surprised me with how much light they get. The master has its own balcony and a walk in closet that can swallow up summer clothes and all your shoes without blinking. You get plenty of room to move around and I noticed the fixtures are genuinely high quality. There is nothing flashy though, just calm and a feeling that you want to sit down and relax. Each room is its own pocket of light. You look out from the windows and sometimes you just see kids biking around or neighbours tending to small gardens.
The backyard is honestly one of those spaces you will want to use. Open the doors from the living room and step out and you can really imagine hosting friends for a barbecue or just reading on a quiet Friday. It has the space for a bit of gardening if that is your thing or a big table for family dinners when the weather cools down.
The actual community life in Casa Viva makes it easy to settle in. There is a Central Plaza, which is where people tend to gather for coffee or a weekend catch up. Most afternoons there are people jogging or walking the dog around the park area. You are not far from a proper sports facility and swimming pool, so getting out and about is almost too simple. Even running errands is easy with shops and places to eat sprinkled around close by.
Connectivity is pretty much sorted too. It does not take long to get to the main parts of Dubai, so even if you work on the far side of town the drive is manageable. You find yourself coming home and leaving your day behind pretty quickly.
The real thing is whether it feels right for you. If you are curious or just want to walk around and see if this two bedroom townhouse at Casa Viva in Serena fits your style, I would say come by and see for yourself.
