The Stage, London
Some places just quiet your mind as soon as you step inside. That really happens in this two bedroom apartment at The Stage in Shoreditch London. Let me tell you when you walk into this flat on the thirty fifth floor it is genuinely a little calmer up here. I walked in and just sort of wandered right over to the balcony because you can feel the city all around but in a good way. Looking out from this high you almost forget how busy Shoreditch can be at street level and you might even spot someone painting a new bit of street art or people spilling out of the next pop up coffee shop down below. Even though you are in the middle of buzzing East London it is just quieter than you think up here.
You come inside and the open plan living area just unfolds in front of you. Kitchens in new build apartments often look nice but sometimes they are just for show but here it actually feels set up for real life. The kitchen is right in the heart of everything and honestly it feels like the sort of place you would want to cook something proper not just heat up leftovers. The wooden finish on the cupboards is kind of warm and the stone countertops are cool under your hand. All the appliances are tucked in so nothing juts out or makes the place feel crowded. It is pretty seamless. I checked the appliances myself and really the stove and fridge are both good sizes nothing weirdly small or awkward. You could fit a proper dinner party in here without any effort and it would not feel squished.
What you might not expect is how the balcony actually draws you out. I stood there for a while and you just see so much of London rooftops stretching out trains flicking past far below really just endless city happening in every direction. Every now and then you catch a bit of sunset washing over the buildings and it almost tricks you into thinking you are somewhere else. The balcony has enough room for a couple of chairs or a whole dinner outside if the weather is pretending to be friendly and yes you can actually have that Friday night glass of wine out here while the city slowly goes quiet.
Bedrooms are a real surprise honestly. Both have doors out to their own little outdoor spaces which just changes the way you wake up or end the day. The main bedroom does not try too hard it is just calm with these big windows catching pieces of the skyline that are always a little different depending on the weather. For London flats especially in the middle of things closet space is usually the first thing that disappears but not here. Everything is tucked away nicely so you do not feel boxed in. The second bedroom works for a guest or a proper home office if you need it. There is space to breathe in both rooms and I noticed it straight away.
At The Stage you get a bunch of extras too and they are actually worth using. Down on the mezzanine there is a gym you will want to use because it is not stuffed into some windowless basement. The private cinema is something you might not even try until you realize it is genuinely great for film nights. You have a spa suite downstairs which is the sort of thing you only believe when you see it and there is even a private bowling alley that always surprises people. It gives the building this small community feeling even though you are in central London. It is the kind of place where you could never leave on a rainy weekend and not feel like you are missing out.
You are minutes from the best restaurants and bars in Shoreditch and if you want to catch a show or head to the West End it is all reachable without any stress. Trains and tubes are close by so getting to the City or across the river is just not hard.
If you want to feel what it is like to live high above everything but still have all of Shoreditch at your feet this place is worth walking through. Sometimes you just know if it fits when you see it yourself. Reach out if you are curious or want to arrange a look round. At LuxuryProperty dot com we want your next place to feel right for you and that usually starts with just a chat.
